BASILAVECCHIA - D'INTINO, Rosina - passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Thursday June 28, 2007 in her 94th year in Pescara Italy. she was predeceased by her loving husband Carmine (1977) dear mother of Elio (Donatina), Gilda (Fiorindo) Maria (Biagio), Benito (Eva), Bruno (Luisa), Lidia (Antonio), Clara (Remo), Iole (Franco). Cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sister, Carmela Lavalle, and brother, Nicola. She will be missed by her brother Guerrino in Belgium and relatives and friends for her dedication and love to her family. A Mass Celebration for her repose will take place July 26, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Alfred's Church, St. Catharines.

CAROL, Laura Edith (nee Fraser) - Suddenly on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at N.H.S. General site in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband Phillip (1956). Loving mother of Priscilla Heus (the late Gerrit Heus). Loving grandmother of Debbie Shelley (Kevin), Jeannie Heus, Stephen Heus (Kitty), Philip Heus, and Brian Heus (Roxy). Laura will be missed by her 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren. Survived by her brother Bob Fraser (Marge) and predeceased by many siblings. Laura was a life-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24 and was a former employee of Abitibi Paper Mill, Thorold. Friends will be received at the PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (39 Court St., St. Catharines 905-685-6584) on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Mary Rzepski peacefully at the age of 86 at St. Olga's Lifecare Centre on Wednesday July 18, 2007. Mary was born October 18, 1920 in Dzierzana, Poland to Antony and Mary. Beloved wife of the late Bronislaw (Barney) Rzepski (1994). Sadly missed by her children Wanda (Frank Sr. McEwan), Henry, Richard (Frances), Babcia to Gwen Leslie, Frank Jr. (Melissa). Grandmother to Claude, Ronny and Donny, and great grandmother to Rikki-Lynn, Brett, Jerret and Jennifer. Mary was a long time resident of Stoney Creek. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. Beloved wife of the late George Shiner (April 2006). Loving mother of Tay (Eric), Teri (John) Haeni and the late Richard (1990). Adoptive mother to Jill (Bill) Wolchuk. Cherished grandmother to Rhianna, Jessica, Sarah and Alex. Loved sister to Florence, Betty, Dilys, Pat (Dennis), sister-in-law to Gwyneth (Dick) and many nieces and nephews all in South Wales. Dear aunt to Deb (Matt), Clair, Mark (Shirley), Gareth and Lee, all of Fort Erie. Special thanks to Dr. S. William James “Bill“ Palmer, Sr.

PALMER, Sr.., William James “Bill“ - In loving memory of William James “Bill“ Palmer, Sr., 87 years of Hartley Bay, who passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 15th, 2007, at his residence. He was born in St. Thomas and married Cecilia (Connelly) in St. Thomas in 1939. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight for two terms. He volunteered in the Canadian Navy and served from 1942 until 1945. His interest in building and renovating kept him busy until 1950 when he relocated to the French River where he started a tourist business. He had been active in the tourist industry for over fifty years and did some counseling for The Federal Business Development Bank for some of the other tourist operators. He did much for the founding of the French River Delta Association and was a charter member. He will be remembered by the hundreds of guests he entertained and sadly missed by a community which he did much to create. Beloved husband of Cecilia M. (Connelly) Palmer predeceased 1991. Loving father of William J. Palmer Jr. of Burlington, Michael D. Palmer (Colleen) of Hartley Bay, Darlene C. Palmer of Thunder Bay, Stephanie M. Palmer of Sudbury and Elizabeth predeceased. Cherished grandfather of Chuck, Brian, Chris, Shannon, James, Bill, Melissa, Mathew, Kimberly and Meagan and 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Dear son of Wayon E. and Eva Elizabeth (Hart) Palmer predeceased. Dear brother of Earl, Archie, Maxwell, Wilfred and Clifford all predeceased. Her 2 sisters: Dorothy Myers and Jean Dearby both of Windsor. She will also be sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren, several brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. Loving Grandma to Todd Ray (Heather); Dawn “new nurse“ Gauthier (Ian); David Walkington (“even newer nurse“ Rachel) and Elizabeth Walkington. Doting Great Grandma to the five “divas“ - Leah, Taryn and Mya Ray; and Cassie and Reagan Gauthier. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Marg received at the Ajax and Pickering hospital, in particular the doctors; nurses; and staff in the ER and on 2 East. Friends will be received at the ACCETTONE FUNERAL HOME at 384 Finley Street in Ajax, Ontario at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2007 until time of service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Following the service a reception will be held. Private interment at St. John's Norway cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marg's memory can be made to the Casey House Foundation, 119 Isabella Street, Toronto, Ontario M4Y1P2 or to the Rouge Valley Health System Foundation, Ajax and Pickering Site, 580 Harwood Avenue South, Ajax Ontario L1S2J4.
