Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Bossenberry). Loving father of Pegge Clarke of Ottawa, Barbara and her husband Paul Kraatz of Forest ON, and David and his wife Boh Ching of Calgary. Predeceased by his son James Edward. Grandfather to Jenner Kraatz and her partner Shayne Barker of London, ON, Jocelyn Kraatz and her partner Justin Edwards of London, ON. Chick served his country, the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, and touched the lives and hearts of hundreds of friends and service persons. Martin was an active member in various clubs; The Britannia Yatch Club (35 years), The Granite Curling Club, Camp Fortune Ski Club and the Westboro Legion, Branch 480. He loved music and sang with the Ottawa Barbershop Chorus for 25 years, the Woodroffe United Church Choir and the Pasadina 100 Voice Choir in Florida. He also enjoyed musical symphonies, opera and his 3 row button accordian and many acclaimed he was a scholar and a gentleman.
