Formerly of Montreal, died suddenly in Ottawa on Monday 8 March 2004 in his 82nd year, a life that came through its arc to maturity. Clifton Beck was the husband of Betty Beck (nee Reilley) whom he loved dearly. Those who mourn with her include daughter Catherine, daughter Beverly Lemire, son-in-law Morris Lemire, granddaughter Shannon Lemire, son Martin Cote-Beck, daughter-in-law Celine Cote-Beck, and grandchildren Catitlin, Timon and Nathan Beck. Friends and colleagues are missing him also. RCAF pilot at age 19 (1941-44); corporate secretary with Dominion Textiles, Montreal (!952-82); passionately devoted to wild birds, birding and natural ecology (1950-2004). At Clif’s request, there will be no funeral. His family will celebrate his life creatively. You may celebrate his life, too, by protecting and regenerating spaces for indigenous wild species.

Faulkner: Wynetta “Wyn” Peacefully at the Peterborough Civic Hospital, on Wednesday March 10, 2004 in her 78th year. Mother of Ronald (Mary Cay), Donna Lynn (Chuk Stemp) and Sandra (James Watters). Proud grandmother of Amanda, Trevor, Michael, John Ross, Mary Cate, and Jared James. Survived by her brother William “Bill” Finch (Irene), and her sister Doreen Gorman, and also by Jack Faulkner. Predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Robillard and Audrey Ball. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (Retired) Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Gwen. Devoted father to Deane Corneil (the late Robbie) and Branth Buckwell (Ruth). Loving “Paw” of granddaughter Jenny Selby (Roger). Buck was a career Army Officer, WW II veteran and served in many international positions. He retired in 1968 and joined the Federal Department of Agriculture, retiring in 1984. “Paw” was a true renaissance man, clear-minded, skilled at hand, well read and had a great sense of humour and fun. He had just published his latest book “The History Of The Buckwell Family”. Buck will be greatly missed. A sincere “THANK YOU” to the staff of the Perley Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre. A Memorial will be held on Monday, March 15th at 11 a.m. in the auditorium of the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre, 1750 Russell Road, Ottawa. George Wilson was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Marjorie, in 2002, their elder son, Kenneth George, in 2001, and their infant son, Robert Thomas, in 1938. Geraldine was born and educated in Winnipeg, MB and was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Manotick and the Carleton Golf and Yacht Club. There will be no visitation. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Anne Houle of Manotick on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in her 89th year. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Albert “Bert” Houle; daughter, Donna (Ted Neidy) and son, Craig (Suzanne Boivin). Wonderful grandmother “Dwanny” to Ben and Evan. Dear sister of Don (Pat), Doris (the late Albert and the late Garth) and Doug (Glenda). Predeceased by brother Gordon (Lea), sister Betty (the late Don) and parents John and Annie (nee Hayes). There is a long list of friends who will sadly miss her. Dearly beloved wife of the late Charlie. Much loved mother of Pat (Tom) Michaud, the late Katie and Bill (Twila). Cherished Nana of Michael (Leslie), Jeff, Greg, Shauna and Amanda. Special great-grandmother of Noah and Ella. Survived by one brother Henry and one sister Ida, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by four brothers Joe, August, Tony and John and two sisters Flora Treese and Emillia Culling. During WWII she served in the Air Force and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Falconbridge. Zurawlev, Justina (Josie)
Formerly of Arnprior 1924-2007 Justina (Pukas) Zurawlev's strength and determination which guided her through life faded as she passed away on Friday, June 8, 2007. Justina known to many as Josie was born in Tarnowa, Ukraine in 1924. After immigrating to Canada in 1948 she spent many years working in the Arnprior Hospital before moving to Nepean. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Dimitry Zurawlev in March 2006 and leaves to mourn her devoted daughter Sonja (Sofia) Lightheart (Kevin Osborne) and loving son Alexander (Sasha) Zurawlev (Jocelyn Verdon). She was a loving and generous Baba who will be eternally remembered and missed by her adoring granddaughter Victoria (Lightheart) Toner (Christopher) of Arnprior. Her memory will also live on in the smiles and laughter of her grandchildren Lucas Zurawlev and Katie Fraggalosch and great grandsons Michael and David Toner. She is survived by her two sisters Fenya Morikon and Hanya Dybach as well as many nieces and nephews in Ukraine.
