Much loved Papa to Kayla, Cory and Julia. Predeceased by his parents Ellard and Jane Seabrook. Brother of Doreen McCaffrey (the late Ray), Ron (Lynn), Gail Ramesbottom (Gerry), Leona Kavanagh (the late Walter), Wayne (Pat), the late Irene Richardson (Will), the late Ivan (Myrtle and the late Shirley), and the late Raymond (Rosemary). Harold A. Redekopp “Harry” passed from this life peacefully with his wife at his side on Friday, April 8, 2005 at the hospital. Peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Hospice at May Court, Alan Forhan died at age 81. Alan is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (nee Lamke), beloved children Mark (Seana) Forhan of Waterloo, Alison Brown of West Vancouver, Laurie (Louie) Dapavo of North Vancouver, and mother of his children Marilyn Carričre (nee Mielke). Cherished step-father of Craig Fraser, Bette-Anne (Peter) Dodge, Janet (David) Madsen; Predeceased by infant daughter, Stephanie and brothers Norman, Harold and Tom Forhan; much loved by 12 special grandchildren and “special” friends Maria and Richard Ferguson of Bixby, OK. Born February 5, 1924 in Vancouver, BC, youngest son of the late Anne Graham MacGregor and Oswald Michael Forhan of Eckville, AB. Alan served 2 years in the RCAF. Graduated U of A with a B Sc in Pharmacy 1949. Spent 10 years in sales and management with a pharmaceutical company and then opened Forhan’s Pharmacy at the corner of Bank and Second in 1960. Alan retired in 1987 as owner/operator after 27 years of serving his customers in the Glebe. Alan was Past President of the Ottawa Pharmacists’ Association and was a leader in discontinuing tobacco sales in pharmacies. Alan was a parishioner of Saint Maurice Catholic Church, an avid golfer at the Ottawa Hunt Club and Hylands as well as a keen duplicate bridge player. Many thanks to special friends for their love and kindness during his life; and also to the doctors, nurses and volunteers who cared for him at the Ottawa Hospital and the Hospice at May Court. Pierrette went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2005, in her 84th year. Pierrette was the devoted wife of Carrol Weston Potter, who predeceased her in 2003. She was the extraordinary mother of four children: Elaine (David), Michael (Pam), Gerald (Debbie), and Marc (Shelly); who blessed her with several grandchildren. Pierrette is also survived by three siblings: Pierre-Paul Bourbonnais, Monique Lalonde, and Yseult Bourbonnais.
