It is with great sorrow the family announces the passing of Bill; at the Hospice at May Court on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline (nee van der Veen). Loving father of Ron (Kathy), Linda Gibbons and the late Edward. Dear grandfather of Samantha, Matthew, Maaike and Joshua. Brother of Piet Bets and Elly Bes. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean, on Sunday April 10, 2005 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, Merivale Road at Gilby Drive on Monday at 11 a.m. Special thanks to the staff at the Hospice at May Court for their care and support . In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice at May Court would be appreciated.

Seabrook, Beverly

In hospital on Sunday, March 27th, 2005 in his 72nd year. Survived by his devoted wife Joyce (nee Dunne) and his children Brent (Debbie), Heather (Trevor) and Elizebeth. Much loved Papa to Kayla, Cory and Julia. Predeceased by his parents Ellard and Jane Seabrook. Brother of Doreen McCaffrey (the late Ray), Ron (Lynn), Gail Ramesbottom (Gerry), Leona Kavanagh (the late Walter), Wayne (Pat), the late Irene Richardson (Will), the late Ivan (Myrtle and the late Shirley), and the late Raymond (Rosemary). Survived by many nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stittsville United Church (836-4962) or the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation (1-800-561-5638) would be appreciated.

Martin, Eileen Margaret
Date of Death: April 2, 2005
Peacefully in hospital on Saturday, April 02, 2005 in her 88th year. Survived by her nieces Jo-Ann Mitchell of Chester, NS; Ruth Ledingham and Ellen Wallace, both of Scotland; her brother-in-law David Miller of Ottawa and sister-in-law Margaret Begg of Scotland. Predeceased by her parents Colin and Sena Martin, brothers Colin H. Martin and his wife Dorothy, Earl Martin and sister Ruth Miller. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Rd. at Roosevelt on Thursday from 9:30 until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Pinecrest cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the C.N.I.B.

Redekopp, Harold

Harold A. Redekopp “Harry” passed from this life peacefully with his wife at his side on Friday, April 8, 2005 at the hospital. He is survived by his wife Martha, his daughters, Kim, Caroline, Debbie and grandsons Cody and Colton. He is also survived by sisters Martha Klassen, Hertha(Dick) Meyer, Ruth(Frank) Klassen, brothers Art, Vic(Muriel), Ray(Blanche) and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road on Friday, April 15, 2005 from 12 noon until the Funeral Service in Chapel at 2:00 pm. Forhan, Alan Francis
Date of Death: April 10, 2005
Peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Hospice at May Court, Alan Forhan died at age 81. Alan is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (nee Lamke), beloved children Mark (Seana) Forhan of Waterloo, Alison Brown of West Vancouver, Laurie (Louie) Dapavo of North Vancouver, and mother of his children Marilyn Carričre (nee Mielke). Cherished step-father of Craig Fraser, Bette-Anne (Peter) Dodge, Janet (David) Madsen; Predeceased by infant daughter, Stephanie and brothers Norman, Harold and Tom Forhan; much loved by 12 special grandchildren and “special” friends Maria and Richard Ferguson of Bixby, OK. Born February 5, 1924 in Vancouver, BC, youngest son of the late Anne Graham MacGregor and Oswald Michael Forhan of Eckville, AB. Alan served 2 years in the RCAF. Graduated U of A with a B Sc in Pharmacy 1949. Spent 10 years in sales and management with a pharmaceutical company and then opened Forhan’s Pharmacy at the corner of Bank and Second in 1960. Alan retired in 1987 as owner/operator after 27 years of serving his customers in the Glebe. Alan was Past President of the Ottawa Pharmacists’ Association and was a leader in discontinuing tobacco sales in pharmacies. Alan was a parishioner of Saint Maurice Catholic Church, an avid golfer at the Ottawa Hunt Club and Hylands as well as a keen duplicate bridge player. Many thanks to special friends for their love and kindness during his life; and also to the doctors, nurses and volunteers who cared for him at the Ottawa Hospital and the Hospice at May Court. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) Nepean on Wednesday, April 13th from 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of Alan’s life will be held in the chapel on Thursday, April 14th at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. Private family committal of Alan’s cremated remains at Christ Church Cathedral Columbarium. Donations to the Hospice at May Court, 114 Cameron Ave. Ottawa, K1S 0X1 or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Cherished Grandma of Ashley, Trever, Holly, Brodie, and Nicole. Daughter of the late Silas and Etta Boyd. Special friend and niece of the late Louise Somerton. Sister of John, Robert (Ann), James, Earl (Edna), Stanley and Marilyn (Ron). Sister in law of Janice. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Harvey, Frank, and Lorne, and by her sisters in law Nancy and Edith, and granddaughter Amanda. Suddenly in hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2005 in his 73rd year. Beloved father of Susanne Ure, Jeff (Belinda), Rick, Brian (Colette), Sandy Burnett (Cameron). Loving grandfather of Lyndsey, Cameron, Robin, Joshua, Alexandra and David. Brother of Beverly. He will also be missed by Mary Alys, Louise and Dorothy. Camm worked for 40 years as a financial economist, consultant for the World Bank, CIDA, and United Nations Development Program and travelled extensively throughout the world. He increased the capacity of business people to create and market their products internationally. He also was an appreciated business mentor to his children. Potter, Pierrette Marie
Pierrette went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2005, in her 84th year. Pierrette was the devoted wife of Carrol Weston Potter, who predeceased her in 2003. She was the extraordinary mother of four children: Elaine (David), Michael (Pam), Gerald (Debbie), and Marc (Shelly); who blessed her with several grandchildren. Pierrette is also survived by three siblings: Pierre-Paul Bourbonnais, Monique Lalonde, and Yseult Bourbonnais. A memorial service will be held at Greenbelt Baptist Church, 839 Shefford Road, Gloucester, ON on Friday, September 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. (nee Buttery) Peacefully on Thursday, September 1st, 2005 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Beloved wife of John (Jack) Whitehorne for 56 years. Dearly loved mother of Susan (Jack Ruyter) of Barrhaven, Lynda (Steve O’Connor) of Munster, Sherry Herring of Kingston and predeceased by her daughter Nancy. Cherished Nanny to Elizabeth, Amanda and Nicholas Ruyter; Brendan, Christopher and Brady O’Connor and Maryann and Carolyn Herring. Fond sister-in-law to Beverly Lawrence (Maury) and Joan Stevens (Eric). Predeceased by her parents Ann and George Buttery and her in-laws Dorothy and Charles Whitehorne.
