Lester passed away quietly on Thursday, August 6, 2009, in his 99th year, at West End Villa. Survived by his daughter Pegi Gunn-Graham, granddaughters Siona and Catriona Gunn–Graham of Edmonton, AB and brother Edward Hare of Hamilton. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tragically to stroke in his 58th year. John was a wonderful man loved and admired by many. Loving husband and best friend to Dr. Maureen Rae. Adoring father of Leah and Caleb. John was predeceased by his parents Hans and Elisabeth Timmermann. He is survived by brothers Tim (Marie) and Michael (Anita) and sister Diana Swanson (John). John had an uncommonly passionate zest for life. His outgoing warmth and interest in others earned him friends wherever he travelled. A true free spirit, John would try anything! We are so proud and fortunate to have had John in our lives. Suddenly and unexpectedly, on Sunday August 9, 2009. After undergoing heart surgery at CHEO, Riley left us at the tender age of 6 months and 29 days on Friday, August 7, 2009. Beloved son of Marc and Tara Villeneuve. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Gwen (Meldrum) and their four sons, Wayne (Faye) of Manotick, Barry (Juliann) of Windsor, Mel (Linda) of Penticton, BC, and Jeff (Sylie) of San Jose, California. Proud grandfather of Stephanie, Kristen, Christopher, Matthew, Lara, Ben and Jessica and great-grandfather of Lexi, Micheal and Zahary. Brother of Harold of Cornwall. Predeceased by his parents Russell Whitney and Mary Ellen Carpenter, brothers Percy, Oral, Irvin, Brentley, and sisters Nona and Ola. Earl was born January 12, 1913 in Milles Roches, Ontario. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry on Monday, August 17, 2009 at the age of 68, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Mary (Smith). Devoted and loving father of Jennifer (Drew James), and Greg (Becky). Loving grandfather of 6 grandsons, Andrew, Connor, Myles, Aiden, Ethan and William. Terry will be deeply missed by many family and friends. His great love of world travel began at the age of 17. Wanting to serve his country, he joined the Army Reserves as a lineman for 3 years. He then joined the newly started CJOH Television, where he advanced to a Lighting Director. He continued his service to others as a NABET Union Leader. Terry worked for 35 years in the television industry with great passion and joy. Upon retirement, he continued his public service through All Saints Lutheran Church. Many thanks to Dr. Goss and Dr. Meng, and their teams. Terry felt blessed to receive the very best of care, kindness and support throughout his illness from family and friends, and from the professionals and volunteers at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre, 5 East, at the General Hospital, the Hospice at May Court, and the local CCAC. Heartfelt thanks to all who helped him during his journey. Lois passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at her home on August 17th at the age of 83. Beloved wife and best friend of Murray Bishop Bowes and most loving mother of Murray Bishop Bowes Jr. (Sheila), Mark Langford Bowes (Sandy) and Jennifer Roma James (Terry). Cherished grandmother to her eight grandchildren Kristina, Shana, Matthew, Michael, Jessica, Steven, Allison and Richard and three great- grandchildren Sam, Ben and Charlie. Lois is survived by her sister Zelma, sisters-in-law Bea and Lois Langford, Roma (nee Bowes) and her husband Ken Lett and is predeceased by her sister-in-law Elsie Falls (nee Bowes). Lovingly remembered by her many Langford nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by brothers Ira, Elmer, Johnny and Eddie Langford. A very special thank you to Sheila King. Also leaving to mourn, 7 brothers, 2 sisters 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Riddell, her sister Isabella Saunders and her brother Robert Irvine. She is survived by her sister-in-law Bernice Irvine and many nieces and nephews. Alice came from England in 1920 and worked for Bell Canada for 34 years. She was a member of Erskine Presbyterian Church for 89 years. Alice lived the last 41/2 years at the West End Villa.
