Jeffrey, Richard Kyle
Retired Chemist, Canmet Fuels. passed away at home on Friday, August 31, 2007 surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 40 years and best friend of Mary (nee Morris), loving father of Shani (Ross Spooner), Kristoffer, and Jody(Carrie-Ann). Loving Poppa “J Bird” to Danika, Eryn, Sam, Jack and Bridget. Dear brother to Doug (Helen) and Bill ( Sandy). He will be sadly missed by the Morris family and many relatives and friends. Richard will be remembered for his contribution to the community of Stittsville, particularly minor hockey and fastball. Special thanks to Dr. Hurdon, Dr. Brian Whalen, the Palliative Care nurses and to Father S. Amesse of Holy Spirit Parish. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, on Sunday September 2nd , 2007 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday September 3rd , 2007 at 11 am at St. Isidore’s Roman Catholic church on March road. In Sarnia, Ontario on Monday, Sept.3, 2007, Catherine Fraser, age 93, wife of the late William John Schubert Fraser of Ottawa; dear sister of Marion Alexander of Vancouver, B.C.; loving mother of Schubert Bruce (and Anne) Fraser of Ottawa, Brian (and Susan) Fraser of Plano, Texas; and Donald (and Sharon) Fraser of Sarnia; beloved grandmother of Heather (Mrs. Ian Thomson), Robin, David (and Angela), Amber, Jeffrey, Chris (and Lori), Leslie (Mrs. Darren Manns) and Graham; great grandmother of Miriam Anne Thomson, Sydney Catherine Fraser and Avery Elizabeth Fraser. Catherine was a long-time participant in the Engineers Wives Association, St. George's Ladies bowling league, and informal bridge groups with friends in Ottawa. Friends may pay respects at Tubman Funeral Home, 403 Richmond Road at Roosevelt Avenue, on Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Westboro United Church, 450 Churchill Avenue, Ottawa; Interment at Pinecrest cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society of Canada or the Engineers' Wives Association Bursary Fund.

Webster, Catherine Nora
Peacefully at Carleton Lodge, in Ottawa, on Monday, September 3, 2007, in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Abbott Webster. Loving mother of Andrew (Sandi) and proud grandmother of Katja, Tanja and Anika, who will miss their grandma very much. She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Black (Robert) and Kathleen O'Shea (Bernard) as well as nephew Ronald Black and niece Carolyn Sullivan. Survived by her sisters Betty Brodbeck and Muriel Davis. Predeceased by parents John and Florence Percival, daughter Nancy, and sister Jean Palmer. Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre on Thursday September 6, 2007 in his 87th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Gladys. Devoted father of Hannah Ellacott (Stephen), and James Dutton, of Surrey, B.C. Dear brother of Donald Dutton (Irene). Predeceased by his sisters Ethel Dutton, and Lydia Jeffs and by his brothers Robert, Tom and Jack Dutton. Alf will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, as well as family and friends in Campbellford. A private family graveside service will be held in Campbellford at a later date. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Perley Rideau for all their wonderful care. In hospital on Sunday, September 23, 2007 age 59 years. Beloved best friend of Joy Skemer and her boys Kyle and Corbin. Son of Henoch and Berta (deceased) and brother of Harold (Suzanne) and David. Eldest brother of Peter (Judy), Mary Triemstra (Bill), Ray (Mary Ellen), Gary (Jan) and George (Nancy). Fondly remembered by mother -in-law Peg Armstrong, cousins, nieces, nephews, close friends and co-workers in London, Ottawa, Edmonton and The Netherlands. Graduate of McGill University and the University of Illinois. Long time animal nutritionist at Masterfeeds, avid golfer and prolific gardener. He will be remembered for his generosity, youthful spirit and engaging personality. passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 30th at the age of 90. She was surrounded by her son Robert, sister Kathleen and niece Betty Brazeau. Predeceased by her husband, Douglas and her parents Verona Judge and Joseph Carriere. Dear mother of Robert (Maureen Dunlop); grandmother of Jennifer (Brent Lievers), Julie (Frédéric Girard and Scott (Michelle Laviolette); great grandmother of Michelle and Nicholas Girard and Rebecca and Benjamin Lievers. Survived by her sisters Kathleen Brazeau and Joan Dornan (Walter) and her brothers Michael and Vernon Carriere. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers Verona (Tootsie) Cousineau, Olva Raby, Lowell Carriere, Kelly Carriere and Darcy Carriere (Denise Lauzon). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Many thanks go out to Dr. Martin Lacasse and the nursing staff at both the Centre d’Accueil and the Buckingham Hospital. Cherished grandmother of Susan (Rob) Gutwin and Richard (Cathie) James. Great-grandmother of 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha, Jackson, Heather and William. Dear sister of Edna McNiece (Tommy, predeceased), Doris Bradley (Clayton), Lloyd (Audrey), William (Irene, predeceased), the late Alfred (Ella, predeceased), the late Donald (Viola, predeceased), and the late Stuart. Alice will be fondly remembered by a wonderful and caring family of nephews and nieces. Special thanks to the staff of Extendicare Starwood Nursing Home for their loving care of Alice during her stay there.
