Cherished grandfather of Peter, Christopher, Catharine, Jennifer (Jason Heuff), Michael, Natalie (Frank DeJong), and Jessica, and great-grandfather of Jaymen, Jordan and Madeline. Survived by his sister Hilda Davis, sister-in-law Clara Davidson and many nieces and nephews. Peacefully on Friday, August 24, 2007 at the age of 68 years, after a brave and courageous battle with heart disease, Myrna Gail Rosebrook (nee Parke) passed away in Ottawa, Ontario with her family by her side. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Ferne Peever (nee Parke), her husband John Boeyen and his family, her children Cheryl (Dave Bracken), Darlene (Jerry Nieczyporowski), Bob (Sue Pettes), Christina (Maurizio Barbieri), Stephen (Pamela Wiles) and her six grandchildren Ryan and Amanda Bracken, Michael and Matthew Rosebrook and Grace and Jake Rosebrook. Myrna was loved by many nieces, nephews and friends and will be remembered fondly for her incredible kindness and compassion. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. We would like to extend our thanks to the Ottawa Heart Institute, the Renfrew Victoria Hospital for all their hard work and the ICU Unit at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus for making her comfortable in her final moments. Loving father of Donna (Winston) Jorgensen, George (Diane) Penney, Jane (late Brian) Potter, and Bob Penney. Predeceased by his children Doreen and Allen Penney and granddaughter Brenda Jorgensen. Survived by 9 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister Jessie (late Paul) Bouckaert. Predeceased by sister Marjory (Dave) Calberry, Martha (Delbert) Harvey, Lila Penney and a twin brother Henry Penney. Survived by sisters-in-law Mary Penney, Henrietta Barr and Lorena Delahunt. May Schaber of Ottawa, Ontario passed away at the Garry J. Armstrong Home on August 25 at the age of 93. Left behind, always to love and remember, are her daughter and son-in-law, Judy Schaber and Michael Dacey, son and daughter-in-law, Wallace Schaber and Louise Gaulin, daughter and son-in-law Mary and Jim Engel, son and daughter-in-law Peter and Sharon Schaber and grandchildren, Graham and Owen Engel, Evan and Sarah Dacey, Benjamin, Nicolas and Jacob Schaber. Also mourning her loss are sister-in-law Janet Roy and nieces Marion and Alison Roy, Nancy Coe and husband Martin and their children Amanda and Andrew, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Schaber, parents Henry and Marion Roy, and her brothers Wallace and Lloyd Roy. May was born in Milton, Ontario, on May 28, 1914. May attended nursing school at Hamilton General Hospital and graduated in 1941. She married Art in 1947 and started a family shortly thereafter. After caring for her Dad she worked at the Royal Ottawa for 7 years. May was a very kind and giving person, who loved her Lord, Jesus. She loved to spend her time with family and friends, enjoying good conversation, a cup of tea and many laughs. Her grandchildren were of great importance to her and she cherished every moment she shared with them. May greatly enjoyed life and always said, “I’m thankful for my many blessings.” Family and friends will be sharing a private service at Pincrest cemetery on Saturday, September 1st, 2007 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at Pinecrest cemetery Reception Centre.
