St-Jacques, Suzanne née Cadieux
Peacefully at home on Friday August 3rd, 2007 at the age of 57 years. Suzanne St-Jacques, daughter of the late Rémi and the late Marie Irène Cadieux. Beloved wife of Michel St-Jacques. Loving mother of Luc (Vicky B., Gabriel), Melanie (Michael MacLean) and Marie-Céline (Derek Alexander, Aidan). Dear sister of Gilles (Germaine), Jacques (Lucie), Bernard (Francine) and Hélène (Maurice St-Jean). Survived by her father-in-law Raymond St-Jacques, her mother-in-law Rollande St-Jacques and her brother-in-law Réjean (Lynne). A memorial service will be held at St. Grégoire-de-Nazianze Church, Gatineau (Buckingham), Québec on Friday August 10, 2007 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 490 des Pins, Gatineau (Buckingham), Québec. A special thank you to the staff at the Chemo Day-Care for Ovarian Cancer (8th floor) and Dr. Louise Coulombe (palliative care) for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the National Ovarian Cancer Association, 101-145 Front St. East Toronto, Ontario M5A 1E3 or the Ottawa Hospital Regional Cancer Centre 501 Smyth Road, Ottawa ON K1H 8L6 would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckingham Chapel of Cadieux-Tubman Funeral Homes.

Jones, David William
Peacefully at Longfields Manor, Ottawa, after a long battle with Parkinsons' disease, on Monday, August 6, 2007 age 78 years. Beloved husband of Sally. Dear father of Susan, Wendy-Anne and Griff. Loving grandfather of Alexandra, Emma, Jaya, Annie and William. Brother of Trevor and Cynthia. Predeceased by his son-in-law Robert Levy. David was born in Wembly, London UK and spent much of his youth in North Wales. He always remained proud of his Welsh heritage. After traveling the world in the Merchant Navy, he emigrated to Canada. Most of his subsequent working life was spent in Montreal as a manufacturers' agent in the clothing trade, allowing him to travel widely in Europe. Friends may call at the Rideau Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Saturday from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 2 p.m. A celebration of David's life will also be held at the Unitarian Church of Montreal in September; details will be posted on the church website (www.ucntl.ca). No flowers please. Those desiring may make donations to the Parkinson Society.

Brunette, Malcolm James
At home, Malcolm left this earth leaving us all without one of the kindest men with the biggest heart. Malcolm was a long time employee of the Canadian Bank Note Company, fondly known as the “Bear.” Even through all of life’s trials and tribulations, Malcolm never lost his sense of humour or his spirit of giving to anyone in need. A true testament to Malcolm was the many friends who spent time with him in the last few months. A special thanks to you all. With his son Jonathan (predeceased March 2003) and the angels in heaven welcoming him, he will be lovingly missed by his wife, Valerie (nee Ayliffe), loyal and devoted son Eric (Lindsay Morin), his brother and best friend Bruce (Nancy), nephew Peter (Lyla, Hannah and Charles), niece Jane Brunette-Arney (Michael and Taylor), sister-in-law Evelyn (Ayliffe) and brother-in-law Ken McDonald, niece Amanda (Tehya) and nephew Derek (Jacqueline). Predeceased by his mother and father Winnifred and Edward Brunette and his brother-in-law Allan Ayliffe. A true lover of nature – we will find comfort through his spirit while walking in the woods on a crisp fall day or watching a beautiful sunset at the end of a day. A celebration of Malcolm’s time on earth will be held on Saturday, August 11th, 2007 at Tubman Funeral Homes, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.) Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. A Service will take place at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Torbolton cemetery. The family would like to thank the At Home Hospice nurses: Rose, Martha, Maria and Uwe for all the compassionate loving care and support. May 22, 2006 - August 8, 2007
Suddenly, as the result of an accident, at the age of 14 months. Cherished and much loved daughter of Anne (née McDonnell) and Gregg. Beloved of Grandmother Ricky and late Grandfather Joseph McDonnell and Opa Steve and Oma Ina Boneschansker. Andee will also be greatly missed by her extended family, many friends and all those who loved her dearly and all who were touched, all too briefly, by her big blue eyes, beautiful smile, contagious laugh and her energetic personality, along with her ability to light up a room. Friends may call at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 1475 Merivale Road, on Friday 6:00 - 9:00 pm. A Service celebrating Andee's life will be held at the church on Saturday at 10:00 am. Brother of Patty Ann Zappa (Paul), Brian Brown, Don Brown (Sharon) and Russell Brown (Francine), and his most loving aunt Betty Cregan. Grandfather of Keegan, Tristan, Myles, Moira and Greta Brown. Peacefully, at home with her loving family by her side on Saturday August 11, 2007. after a courageous battle with cancer. Nella Provenzano (née Aiello) age 56. Beloved wife of Biagio Provenzano. Loving mother of Marco and his dear friend Eva Poznanski. Daughter of the late Giuseppe Aiello and the late Assuntina Briglio. Dear sister of Francesco Aiello (the late Réjeanne); Raffaela Pino (Vincenzo); Aldo Aiello (Lena); Joe Aiello (Donna); and Rita McHugh (Gary). Cherished daughter-in-law of Fiorina Provenzano. Nella worked for many years with Agriculture Canada, Health Canada, and Human Resources Development Canada. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and long-time friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Tom Faloon; the doctors and nurses of the 5th floor West of the Ottawa General Hospital and Bayshore Home Health; for their kindness, support and care. Stubbs, Harvey Allen
After a difficult struggle with cancer on Sunday, August 12, 2007 age 79 years. Beloved and loving husband for almost 45 years of Shirley (nee Wooster). Son of the late Harry Stubbs and Jean Green. Dear brother of Barbara-anne Fairbrother (David) and the late Virginia Quinn. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Harvey was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church; enthusiastic member of Britannia Yacht Club since joining as the first unrelated junior in 1935; dedicated ski patroller at Camp Fortune for 25 years; and passionate supporter of Bytown Brigantine Foundation, the Smith’s Falls Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, the Ottawa Valley Associated Railroaders, and the Ottawa Mission. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Rd., (at Roosevelt) on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of Harvey’s enthusiasm for life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 470 Roosevelt Ave, on Thursday at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or the Ottawa Mission would be greatly appreciated.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cameron Fraser, son of Scott and Brenda Fraser. Quickly brought into this world and just as quickly, exited our lives. It is with forever love and sadness that we say goodbye to our first born son. We will always remember and love Cam. Suddenly, at home on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the age of 50 years. Devoted and loving mother of Jeremy, Mike and Shannon. She is also survived by her brother and sisters. Jo-Jo will be sorely missed and always remembered by those she touched with her giving and helpful nature. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, August 15, 2007.

Peacefully in hospital on Friday August 17, 2007 at the age of 75. Loving husband of Joan. Proud father of Katherine (deceased), Robert (Kimberley), David (Marilyn), Christopher (Kathryn), and Elaine Griffin (Robert). Cherished grandfather of Kristin, Darryl, Meghan, Kelly, Natalie, Bryson and Nicklaus. Survived by his brothers Julius and Emile and by his sisters Yolana and Olga. Memorial visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd, (between Bayshore Dr and Baseline Rd), on Wednesday August 22nd from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 12 noon followed by a reception. Special thanks to the staff of the Montfort Hospital for all their wonderful care. Desjardins, Rolland
It is with great sadness that the family of Rolland Desjardins announces his passing on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Rolland (Chinc) Dieu Donne, beloved husband of Jean Leslie. Loving father of Peter, Joanne, Elizabeth, Paul, Sue, Rolland Jr., Patricia, Dennis, Kathy, David, Sandra, Annette and spouses. Proud grandfather of 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Rene, Ronald, Marcel, Lucien, Gerry, George and Bernadette, Yvette and Pauline. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Andrew, by a sister Terese and by brothers Leo, Maurice and Robert. Friends may call at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church in Corkery on Monday at 3 p.m., followed by interment at the parish cemetery. Vickers, Iris Aileen (nee Johnson)
Iris Vickers died quietly at Eastholme, Powassan on Friday, August 17, 2007 in her 86th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, mother Bessie and father Viv; and her brother Gilbert Johnson. Much loved mother of Colin and his wife Joan of North Bay. Cherished grandmother of Rhiannon and Ryan. She met the challenge of arthritis and Alzheimers disease with grace. Iris was a long time resident of Ottawa living in Westboro and the West End. She was a loving aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many. Iris enjoyed bowling, bridge and golf. With Bill they renovated two homes and travelled extensively. She was a model of determination and caring for others. Her humour and joy for life was well known and appreciated. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Eastholme who provided her with a caring community for almost three years. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. and at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, Ottawa on Tuesday, August 21 from 12 to 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the Garden Chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow with Interment of ashes in Pinecrest cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to One Kid's Place or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Peacefully in hospital at Almonte on Saturday, August 18, 2007 age 68 years. Beloved wife of the late Timoteo D’Angelo. Dear mother of Joanne Clogg (Iain) of Almonte, David Pommerville of Harrowsmith, Maurice Pommerville (Deborah) of NS and Cindy Dougherty (Sean) of Stittsville. Loving grandmother of Roger (Lianna), Gerry (Stephanie), Robert, Greg, Kaitlyn, Stephanie and Todd. Sister of Albert Magee of Lombardy. Predeceased by sisters Theresa Magee and Mary Scharf. Special thanks to Dr. Ferraris and nursing staff at the Almonte General Hospital for their loving care. A private family service was held at the Almonte Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes. Peacefully, surrounded by family and in the prayers of many on Sunday, October 12th, 2003 at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus at the age of 58 years. Beloved wife of David Hackston. Loving mother of Andrew and Iain. Cherished daughter of Lilian Blyth (nee Roll) and the late Lewis Blyth. Dear sister of John (Judith). Anne was an active member of St John the Baptist Anglican Church, Kars. She was also an active member of: a Bible Study Club, The Grenville Gremlin's Square and Round Dance Club, The Ladies' Orange Benevolent Association, The North Gower Garden Club, The Christian Women's Club, The Ottawa Duck Club and The Breeding Bird Altas Initiative. Anne enjoyed line dancing and was an avid gardener.
