After a brief illness at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre on Friday, November 9, 2007 in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Stanley McGann. Dear sister of Joan Thornhill, Florence “Dit” Hiltz, Judy Holleman, Patricia Reid, Linda Davidson, Nancy Arenburg, Spurgeon Jr. Nixon and the late Jean Hall, Mary Sherman and Gordon Nixon. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, at Roosevelt on Monday November 12, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. Those wishing may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Dear father of Margo Bradley of Victoria, BC, Ellen Bradley of Almonte, Heather Bradley (Ray Lawrence) of Stittsville, Christina Fenton (Ronnie Hammond) of Arnprior and Ruth Riley (Barrie) of Carp. Loving grandfather of Cassandra, Bradley, Brittany and Derek. Brother of Chloris Brown and Sheila Harrison. Predeceased by his sister Roberta Hepburn. Peacefully in hospital after a lengthy illness on Friday, November 9, 2007 in her 66th year. Beloved wife of Leonard, mother of David (Michelle) and Emily. Proud grandmother of baby Jonah. Predeceased by infant son Paul in 1974. Survived by one brother Alan (Pamela). Life member of Capital City Chapter 172 Order of the Eastern Star. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.), Nepean on Tuesday, November 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, November 14th at 1 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will take place in Midland, Ontario in the spring of 2008. An Eastern Star service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, November 13th at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint-Vincent Hospital, 60 Cambridge St. N. Ottawa, K1R 7A5 or the charity of your choice.

She will be missed by her grandchildren Sean, Scott, Devin, Jessica, Brendan and Tim, and 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Lenore Tilley. Also missed by her nieces, nephews and extended family. DIXON, Major Reginald Richard, CD (Ret’d) D-Day Veteran - Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders Suddenly in Ottawa, on November 12, 2007 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Grace Henry Dixon. Loving father of Dianne Dixon (Keith) of Calgary, and step-father of Jo-Ann Coldrey (Edwin) of Barrie and Cheryl Henry of Ottawa. Dear grandfather of Shauna Koppang (Gord), Erin Willumsen, Ian Willumsen (Debbie), and great-grandfather of Amy and Laura Willumsen. Step-grandfather of 9 and step-great-grandfather of 13. Predeceased by his first wife Ethel Taylor Dixon. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Service will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.), Nepean on Friday, November 16 at 2 p.m. Cremation. passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday November 13, 2007, one day before her 81st birthday. Predeceased by her husband Paul Henri. Dear mother of Arthur James (Suzanne). Nana of Paul (Mylčne). Proud great-grandmother of Cohen James. Survived by her brother Lester Deveau of Nova Scotia. Georgina was a long time employee of Bell Canada and a member of the Pioneer Club. The family would like to thank the staff at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus and Central Park Lodge for their excellent care of Georgina. Dear brother of Myrna (and her husband Don Law-West), Blake (and his wife Sheree) and the late Robin. Loving uncle of Alyssa. Greg will also be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and many friends. Now that Greg has been brought home, the family invites you to join them for a time of visitation and to share remembrances at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) on Sunday, November 18th from 2 – 5 pm. A service celebrating Greg’s life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, November 19th at 1:00 pm, followed by interment at Capital Memorial Gardens. Howard Polk, with dignity and grace always surrounded by his family. passed away on October 19,2003. Devoted husband for 58 years of Doris Ullett. Beloved father and father-in-law of Pamela Hoffman, Florida, and Penny (Gordon Echenberg), Montreal. Adored grandfather of Jennifer (Frederic Wong Ah Sun), Chicago and Kurt (Brande Maury) New York. Son of the late Henry and Mabel Polk, brother of the late Harvey and Mary Polk and the late Rena (Late Jack Walker). Retired Local Registrar of the Supreme Court of Ontario and Clerk of the County District Court. Past Grand Master of the Masonic Order, Grand Lodge of Canada, Province of Ontario 1981-1983, Mother Lodge, Otter Lodge #504 A.F. and A.M., Lombardy and affiliate member of Temple Lodge #665 A.F. and A.M., Ottawa, honorary member of numerous Lodges in both Ontario and the United States.
We will miss his gentleness, his strength, his kindness and his unconditional love.
