STUMP, Nancy (nee Nicholas) -
A loving wife and mother passed peacefully in Ajax, Ontario on March 20, 2001. Nancy, predeceased by her husband George Milton of Montreal. She leaves her daughters Carol Ann and Daphne, her son George and his wife Joelle King, as well as her grandchildren Darrin and Derek Stump, and Jonathan Nituch and numerous nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. Also predeceased by her brothers and sisters Archie Nicholas (Evelyn), Mary, Sadie, Margaret, Grace, Michael, Peter and John. Resting at Ronald Martino & Son Funeral Directors, Brock Road Chapel, 1057 Brock Rd., Pickering (just south of the 401, east side). The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 22 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Ave., Pickering. Cremation. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

HANSEN, Evelyn Ada (Evvie or Toots) -
Our beautiful mother entered into rest peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2001 at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry. Evelyn Hansen, wife of the late John Hansen and predeceased by her infant daughter Dale Evelyn. Much loved Mummy H. of Sharon and Fred Wilbee, Lynda and Wayne Ford, Barbara and John Barfoot, Judith and Jurgen Huhn, Carol Hansen, Karen Hansen, Jim and Marie Hansen, John and Joanne Hansen, Tom and Laurel Hansen and Carl Hansen. Cherished Gramma of John, Kristine, Allison, Victoria, Colleen Evelyn, Leanne, Sara, Kevin, Melissa, Jennifer, Angela, Paul, Jeff and Danny. Beloved sister of Isabelle Fleury and Gordon MacKinnon. Sister-in-law of Bud, Bettye, and Pearl MacKinnon, Niels and Ellen Hansen, Betty Madsen, Marie Petersen, Fred and Katalin Hansen. Aunt Evelyn to many nieces and nephews.We'll Miss You Mum "You Beauty You" Friends may call at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Road, Port Perry on Wednesday, March 21, 2001, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, March 22, 2001, at 2 p.m. Interment Pine Grove cemetery , Prince Albert. HAUGAN, Frances Maryelyn -
( Born 1921). Peacefully at home, on Monday March 19th, 2001. Member of the Ottawa Area German Shepherd Dog Club. A dedicated high school teacher with the Ottawa Carlton School Board for over 21 years & great friend to animals. Her generosity & gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew & loved her. She is survived by daughter Frances & her husband Tim Tufts of Orono, & son Bernie Haugan of Ottawa. Grandchildren Emily & Corey Tufts & Dan & Brendon Driscoll. Predeceased by her daughter Marjorie Haugan. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Saviors Anglican Church, Orono, Saturday March 24th 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to The Pet Trust Remembrance Fund may be made at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville.

(Retired from General Motors of Canada 1987) Peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Monday March 19, 2001. Carl Howard at 74 years of age. Beloved husband of Vera. Loving father of Susan Bulick of Caledonia and Allan and his wife Gloria of Oshawa. Grandfather of Derek, Laura, Andrew, John, Jenny, Trevor and Amanda. Great grandfather of Katie, Danielle, Moria, Jacob, Kendra, Sara, Taylor and Brooke. Dear brother Bert, Stan, Albert, Earl, Faye and Edna. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday March 22, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. Interment Thornton cemetery. RELF, James (Buck) -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health - Port Perry on March 19, 2001, at the age of 86. James was predeceased by his dear wife Alice. Loving father of Jeff, Janet and Craig, Bob and Nancy, and Donald and Victoria. Papa will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Chad, Jennifer, Christie, Rob, Nicole and Brandon. ZAPPIA, Alfred -
(Retired employee of Inter-City Truck Lines) Peacefully passed away on Monday, March 19, 2001 at the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, after a brief illness with cancer, in his 75th year. Loving father of Gina and Carla, and son-in-laws Steve Lovering and Rocco Tersigni. Cherished Papa of Christopher and Michelle Lovering, Michelina and Nikki Tersigni. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax (Pickering Village) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral prayers to be held in the chapel on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 1 p.m.

LOUCKS, Lorne William Andrew -
After a lengthy battle with cancer at the Ajax-Pickering Health Centre on Sunday, March 18th, 2001, in his 61st year. Lorne Loucks loving husband of Judith. Loving father of Sheryl. Survived by his mother Sarah and predeceased by his father William. Brother of Ray. Lorne will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. The family will receive friends at the McEachine Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax (Pickering Village), from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Service at St. Paul's United Church, 65 Kings Cres., Ajax on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at 1 p.m. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

MACINTOSH, Michele (nee Russell) -
passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, March 18, 2001 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Beloved wife of Ron. Loving mother to her daughter Chantal and her husband David. Dear grandmother to Charlotte Rose. Fondly remembered by her brother Boyd of Calgary. Predeceased by her parents Allan and Sara (nee Marcoux) Russell. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at 11 a.m. Cremation followed by interment at Resurrrection cemetery , Whitby. The family appreciates the dedicated efforts of the staff at St. Michael's Hospital, Sunnybrook Cancer Centre and Lakeridge Health Oshawa Palliative Care. Dear son of Vera (Hopkins) Noble and the late Harry Noble. Brother of Stanley (Pauline), Gerald (Shirley), Betty (Bruce) Bell, Jean (Ron) Roberts, Irma (late Ron) McGrogan and Gary (Sue). Loving step-dad to Wendy (Jim), Steven, David (Nancy) and his son Robert (Laura). Predeceased by parents Jean and Emma, brother Heinz, father- in-law Alfred Hoad, brothers-in-law Clarke and Walter. Loving brother to Lisa, brother-in-law to Mae, Betty, Mary and Harry, Eva and Bob. Son-in- law to Jennie Hoad. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by his 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. On March 17th, 2001 at Extendicare, with her family at her side, in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband, Harry. Beloved mother of Orville and his wife Ann. Proud Grandmother of Mark and doting Great Grandmother of Cole. In keeping with her wishes, a Private Family Service was held at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (721-1234) on Monday, March 19th, 2001, Mr. Bill Watts officiating, and organist, her Grandson Mark.
"Your personal prayers and fond memories will be a fitting and appreciated memorial. If you remember me, I would like that, but no mourning please. Death from illness is a solution, not a tragedy."

DAVIES, Sarah Euphemia Ann (Sally) -
(Dental nurse for many years for Drs. Langmaid; Honourary Life Member Ontario Dental Nurses and Assistants Association) In Oshawa on Saturday, March 17, 2001, at the age of 89. Sally, beloved wife of the late Ivor Davies. Last surviving daughter of the late James and Catherine Thorburn. Predeceased by sisters Amy, Mary, Catherine and brothers William, Clinton, John and Gillian. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Special friend to John, Alexandra, Nick, Bob and Barbara.
