(Longtime employee of Harlequin Books) Peacefully, on Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Parkview Home for the Aged in Stouffville, in her 77th year. Gerry, beloved wife of Donald. Dear mother of Karen and her husband Rob Croxall. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren David, Ryan and Olivia. Survived by her sister Ruby Sweet land. Lovingly remembered by family and friends in Toronto and St. John’s, Newfoundland. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, 23 Main Street South on Tuesday, March 13, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Trinity United Church, Uxbridge. Spring interment Uxbridge cemetery. In Gerry’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region would be appreciated.

Caring mother of Marie Richardson, Anne and Murray McCollom and the late Joan and her surviving husband Bill Longworth. lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Angie & Stephen, Joanna, Melanie, Rachelle & Ron, Paul & Ang., Michelle & Craigen, Michael and Deanna. Great grandmother of Haley, Haley and Jacob. Devoted sister of Madeline Cookson and Bill Divine and the late Marie Divine. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Memorial Chapel in Sunderland on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, March 15th, 2001 at 2:00 pm. McNENLY, Kathleen Marie -
Peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2001 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 75. Kathleen (nee Cook) of Port Perry. Beloved wife of the late Ralph McNenly. Loving mother of Dale McNenly of Port Perry, Donald McNenly of Yellowknife, N.W.T., James McNenly of Kelowna, B.C. and predeceased by Larry McNenly. Loved grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jack Cook Sr., Beryl Bond, Helen Heard, and Joan Middleton all of Port Perry, Dorothy Gordon of Millbrook, and predeceased by Betty Moorhead. Relatives and friends will be received at the Wagg Funeral Home, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate the life of Kathleen McNenly will be held in the Chapel on Monday, March 12th at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Canning officiating. Interment Pine Grove cemetery , Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

MITCHELL, William (Mitch) -
Suddenly at his residence on Saturday, March 10th, 2001. William Mitchell, age 80. Loving husband of Mavis. Proud father of David, Bill, Shona, Gillian, John, Jeannette, and Lorraine. Will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren. A private family service was held at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King St. E., Oshawa, followed by cremation. Bill will make his final journey home to Scotland in May, where friends and family will gather to say their final farewell at The Old Parish Church in Kirkcaldy.

passed away March 10, 2001 in her 47th year at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa from cancer. Loving mother of Robert, Jonathan, Matthew and Jessica of Oshawa. Loving sister of Bill of Mississauga, Andy and Richard Tapper of Toronto. Loving daughter of Thelma Tapper of Pickering. Loving aunt of William, Amos (A.J.) and Lindsay, Jeffery, Christopher, Samantha Tapper of Toronto, Mark and Lori-Beth of Vancouver and Nickolas Wynnychuk-Tapper of Mississauga. Will be missed by friends Misty and Jackie and sisters-in-law Sylvia, Pat and Margaret.

Entered into the Lord’s presence peacefully, whilst at home with his family on Saturday, March 10, 2001. Jock, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Helen and the late Irene. Loving father of Carol and her husband Gerry; Diane and her husband Steve. Dear grandfather of Gerry and his wife Debbie; Caroline and her husband Jeff; and Joy. Great-grandfather of Jakob and Nicholas. Brother of lsmay Pettigrew, Betty Lindsay and the late Marshall, Arthur, Rene and Jean. Jock will be missed by his dear friends Bill and Elaine Holman. Bill at the age of 50 will be sadly missed by his wife Sandra. Beloved father of Kerry (Jim), Jennifer (Josh), Ryan (Katy) and T.J. (Cheryl). Lovingly remembered by his Grandchildren Allan, Samantha & Ryanne Johnson and Joshua Spicher. Predeceased by a brother Donald Spicher. Spike will be missed by friends and family. Loving father of Jayne Rae, and the late Bob & his wife Shelley. Cherished Grandfather of Brianne. Survived by his brothers Frances & George and his sisters Theresa, Lorraine & Veronica. Will be sadly missed by his good friend of many years, Cec Montemurro. (Veteran of the Newfoundland Merchant Marine and Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 112, Whitby). Con, in his 83rd year, died peacefully after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family on March 9, 2001, devoted father of Mary and her husband Doug Norton, Betty and her husband John VanGinkel, Paf and her husband Steve St. Amand and son Joe Corbett. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey, Craig, Stephen, Joanna, Matthew, Jennifer and Matthew. Caring brother of Camille and Dominic. Con will be sadly missed by all of his nieces and nephews.
