Entered into rest at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday April 26, 2001 in her 80th year. Irene, beloved wife of Jack for 60 years. Loving mother of Au­drey Dickson. Dear grandmother of Kathy and her husband Don Simkin, Andy and his wife Rozalyn, Ed and his wife Susan, and great-grandmother of Ashley, Amber, Nata­lie, Josie, Sasha, and Nicholas. Lovingly re­membered by her brother Glen Leitch and his family Garry, Grant, Karen, Samantha, Nathaniel, Gtenda, Doug, Candy, Dave, and Eric. The family will receive friends at the W.C. Town, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby from 7 to 9pm Saturday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sun­day. Service in the Chapel on Monday April 30, 2001 at 1p.m. with Rev. W. J. S. McClure officiating. Interment , GROVESIDE cemetery , Brooklin. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Loved mother of Johnand his wife Glenda, Jim and his wife Shirley all of Haliburton and Ron of Bowmanville. Loving grandmother of Cindy, Kim, Sarah and Jacob. Special aunt and great aunt of Shirley, Christine and Charlene Gattie. Dear sister of John Brown. Friends were able to call at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in our Chapel on Saturday at 1p.m. Interment Bowmanville cemetery. Donations to the Billy Graham Crusade would be appreciated.

HOWARD, Gladys Mary -
On Thursday, April 26, 2001 at the Centenary Health Centre, Scarborough. Gladys Howard (nee Dart) at the age of 68. Beloved wife of 45 years to David Ross Howard. Loving mother of David Wallace, Judy (Mark), Brian (Sonya), Bren­da (Derrick), Mike (Sabrina), and Una (George). Nanny will be greatly missed by her grandchildren. Dear sister of Betty, Sally, Charlie, Marg, Ethel, and predeceased by Tom, Jack, Doris, Jimmy, Florence and Lucy. Sister-in-law of Barry and his wife Eleanor and Merv. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm., Monday. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 1 pm. Cremation. Peacefully, on Monday, April 23, 2001 at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital, at age 94. Mabel (nee Glide), beloved wife of the late Norman Hurst. Loved mother of Aubrey "Bob" Hurst and his wife Lee (deceased), Ronald Hurst and his wife Cecelia, Bruce Hurst and his wife Muriel, Dianne and her husband John Foote, Carolyn Park and her companion Dennis Murray, Eugene Hurst and his wife Sandra and predeceased by Donald Hurst and his wife Blanche. Mabel is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, her 24 great grandchildren and her great great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her parents Clara Vietta Davis and Richard Thomas Glide, her sisters Luella Bellamy, Eva Babcock, and Josephine Crago and her brothers Kenneth, Robert, Cecil and Douglas Glide. Relatives and friends will be received at the Wagg Funeral Home, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate the life of Mabel Hurst will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, April 26th at 1 p.m. Interment Hampton cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Seagrave United Church Memorial Fund.
