CLANCY, Robert (Bob) -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Whitby on Wednesday, May 30th, 2001 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Helen (Zavitsky). Loving father of three sons, Michael, John, Jim (Carolyn) and one daughter Mary Lou Hahn (Paul). Lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren Paul, Stephanie, Stephen, Jessica, Patrick, Joseph and one step-grandchild Karin. Also survived by his brothers, Father Bede OMI of the Philippines, Doctor Patrick Clancy (London), and sisters Kathleen Wallace (London), Jean DeAngelis (Belmont), Rita Gillespie (Ottawa) and Berneida Halpin (London) and predeceased by one sister Margaret Kirshin. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Bob was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2671 and former Chairman and Trustee of the Oshawa Separate School Board. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday, June 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Of The People Catholic Church (570 Marion Ave.) on Saturday, June 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Arthritis Society, Covenant House or the Canadian Cancer Society.

HAYWARD, Lillian Edith -
(Former Commissioner of the Girl Guides of Canada; Received the R.S. McLaughlin Award of Excellence from the Durham District School Board; Enjoyed music to the fullest) At Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Wednesday, May 30, 2001. Lillian in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Russell. Loving mother of Carolyn and husband Lloyd Pulley of New Hamburg, ON, Lillian and husband Jim McKay of Saskatoon, SK, and Eleanor and husband Micheal Mowbray of Barrie, ON. Cherished grandmother of Russell and Michelle Pulley; Matthew, Emily, Cameron and Joanna McKay; Zachary, Maxwell and Candace Mowbray and dear great-grandmother of Constance and Duncan Pulley. Predeceased by her brother Nelson Johnston. Fondly remembered by her many friends. MEAD, Leila Haidee -
Peacefully, on Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at the Leisure World Nursing Home in Scarborough, in her 107th year. Leila (nee Freeland) was predeceased by her husband William, her son Bill and her daughter Arlene. She is the last of a long line of Freeland siblings. Leila is survived by her daughter-in-law Betty, her grandsons Paul (Linda), Anthony (Judy) and Scott (Sonia), and her great-grandchildren Jennifer, Ryan, Eric, Patrick and Connor. A private family service will be held at the Pine Grove cemetery in Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made through the Wagg Funeral Home "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry to the Charity of your choice.

Dear grandfather of Brett, Bryan, Brandon, Tyler, Kim, Kaylea, and the late Christine. Brother of Doug and his wife Florence, Edith and her husband Bruce Hogarth. Loving mother of Doug and his wife Emma, Ross and Vi, and David. Proud grandmother of Barb Jefferies, Jacquie Simms, Christopher Jefferies, Lisa and Diana. Great-grandmother of Natasha, Christopher, Alex and Chanelle. Predeceased by her brother Ralph Richardson. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 2, 2001 at 10 a.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens.
