Survived by her brothers Fred and Ross Harris, both of Whitby. Pre-deceased by her sister, Lulu, and brothers Harold, Vernon and Elmo. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN, 79 Baldwin Street Brooklin Village from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Lloyd was a 42 year employee of General Motors Canada, Oshawa Car Plant, and long time Oshawa General fan and season ticket holder. Loving husband of Pat (nee Finn). Caring Father of Sandra Boyd, Karen and her husband Robert Marko and Randy Hogel.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jason Morton, Brandon and Brittany Boyd and Cole and Dalton Marko as well as his great granddaughter Shyannc Porter. Loved mother of Karen and her husband Harold of Oshawa, and Faye and her companion Bert of Enniskillen. Loving grandmother of Kelly Giles and his wife Cindy, Wendy Reid and her fiance Desi, Lynn Liscombe, and Tonia and her husband George MacAvelia, and great grandmother of Michael, Halley, Brooke, and Eric. Loved daughter of the late Vince and Annie McNenly of Saintfield. Dear sister of Wyona Spicher of Minden. Fern and her husband Earl Yeomanson of Port Perry, Carl McNenly of Oshawa, Myrtle and her husband John Lemon of Oshawa, and predeceased by Claire, Ralph and Laurene. Survived by her brother-in-law Frank Waller, her sister-in-law Peggy McNenly and several nieces and nephews. Died Wednesday, June 20th, 2001 at Toronto Western Hospital of complications from temporal arteritis. She was 68. A lively, warm and generous person known for her passionate gardening and entertaining of family, friends and neighbours, Doris loved to knit, crochet, smock and sew, especially for new babies. She and husband Bill were enthusiastic world travellers. Born in Montreal, Doris moved to Toronto in 1951 with her first husband John Quinn. After she worked for many years at Bell Canada, Doris and Bill retired and moved to their cottage home on Scugog Island, Port Perry, where she lived for a quarter-century while wintering in New Port Richey, Fla. She leaves her husband, Bill Cook; sister Beverley DiMonte and husband Lou; brother Ronald Betchley and partner Jon Ottaway; daughter Shelley Quinn and partner Peter Martyn; grandson David Quinn Akermanis; son Kevin Quinn and partner Kim Middleton. Also remembered by Doug, Lynne and Cale Cook. A memorial service will be announced later.
