WILES, Orland (Sam) -
Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Centre, Port Perry on Friday, July 20th, 2001. In his 80th year. Orland Wiles, beloved husband of the late lva Wiles. Loving brother of Stewart and his wife Marjory of Ashburn, the late Kathleen MacKin and Lois McDiarmid. Remembered by nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his step children Lois and Bill Atkinson and son Rickey, Bernard and Loreen Bice and family, Stanley and Doris Bice and daughter Cindy. Friends may call at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry 1763 Reach Road, on Sunday, July 22, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, July 23 at 2:00 p.m. Interment , GROVESIDE cemetery , Brooklin immediately after the service. A reception to follow. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association of Canada and Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated.

Peacefully on Thursday, July 19th, 2001 at Ajax/Pickering Hospital. Ronald, in his 81st year. Survived by Phyllis. Dear friend of Betty. Beloved father of Michael and his wife Lisette, Barbara and her husband Charlie Peel and Ian. Loving grandfather of Darryl, Kevin, Heather, Jonathan and Eric. Peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2001 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his family at his side. Beloved husband for 60 years of Jean Lawrence (nee Weeks). Loving father of Sandra and her husband Kelly Adams of Orono, Heather and her husband Hallett MacNutt of Oshawa, John Lawrence and his wife Judy of Cobourg, Colleen and her husband Bruce Hutcheon of Ajax. Dear brother of Don Lawrence and his wife Marie of Ajax. Cherished Papa of 15 and Great Papa of 14 and one on the way. Predeceased by daughter Andrea and son Dennis, grandsons Scott Adams and Jason Lawrence, brother Roy Lawrence (Napanee) and sister Hattie Hickey (Oshawa). Cremation, with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date. Memorial donations to Toronto Hospital for Sick Children or any other Children's Charity in Dad's memory would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Armstrong Funeral Home. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Emergency, 8th and 9th floors, and an extra special thank you to granddaughter Rhonda.

Ron was co-ordinator/professor of the Human Resources program at Durham College and University Centre for over 25 years, associate professor at York and Central Michigan Universities, active member of the Human Resources Association of Ontario and an international management consultant. Loving husband of Dr. Carolin Rekar; dear father of Susan (Duncan), Lisa and Celeste; and proud grandfather of little Dawson, Brother of Bart (Hillary), Violet (Carl) Waters and June (Bob) McPhee. Beloved son of the late Bert and Violet (nee Murphy). Peacefully on Wednesday July 18th, 2001. Beth Gray in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Ivan Gray. Loving mother at Denise Gray and Linda Goverde. Dear sister of Morley Mftchell. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral, 124 King Street East Oshawa with a complete Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, JuIy 21st at 11 am. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

IRWIN, June (Petley), -
Aged 79 years. Died at home with her family about her on Wednesday, July 18th, 2001. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, served a mission after retirement in South Carolina where the younger missionaries knew her as “Sister Cool". June had a unique outlook on life and was always active and enthusiastic. She is survived by her daughter Wendy, sister Doris, grandchildren: Ronald, Danielle and Talli, great grandchildren: Charles, Ashley, Camden, Cember and Brandon J. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Jessica; extended family includes her many friends in the church. There will be a memorial service at Oshawa ward, Rossland at Thornton, Sat­urday, July 28th at 10 a.m. She will be laid to rest at the family plot in Hamilton cemetery. Memorial donations the the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Loving brother of Jean Kessler of Ottawa, Norma Monteith of Vancouver, B.C., Lee Kingston of Dundee, Scotland and the late Billy and Arthur Kingston. Brother-in-law of Ann Clark of Oshawa, Bemette MacDonald of Qhatham, N.B., and Laurie Wrigley of Loggieville, N.B. Devoted grandpa to Chris and his wife Michelle Hooker, Naomii and Brandon Saville, Kathryn and Lindsay Kingston and great-grandpa to Ethan and Bailey Hooker. Dear uncle of John Osborne, Dianne and her husband Ray Thompson, Carolyn and her husband Fred Knutson, Kevin Young and his wife Leslie, Virginia and her husband Steve Anderson, Melanie and her husband Brian Patterson, Jennifer Smyth, Tim Richardson and his wife Adrienne, Roslyn and her husband Robert Smart, Wendy and her husband Bruce Anthony, Donald Mann, and Murray Mann.
