On July 22, 2001 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, in her 86th year. Clara, loving wife of the late Bill. Beloved mother of Bill and his wife Diane, Ted and his wife Elaine and Richard and his wife Arlene. Loving Grandmother of Norman, Melissa, Dylan and Dana Jean. Friends will be received at the Accetone Funeral Home 384 Finley Ave., Ajax on Wednesday July 25 from 6-9 P.M. and Thursday from 11 A.M. until the time of service in the chapel at 1 P.M.

BURKE, Braiden Hans -
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our little angel, Braiden Hans Burke. Born July 16, 2001, passed away at the Hospital For Sick Children on July 21, 2001. Cherished son of Chris and Monica. Treasured grandson of Joseph and Valerie Burke and Hans and Rita Eckart. Much adored nephew of Joe (Kirsten), Corina (Mike), John, Brien and families. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2001. A complete funeral service to follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Thank you, Braiden, for coming into our lives. You will always be our little man.

Mathias is survived by his loving wife, Elisabeth "Bertha", children Bernard (Sandi Nesbitt), Wanda (Jack Van Geel), Ann (Jack Ball), Henry (Terri), Cathy (Ron Barrow), Betty (Steve Gough), and Matthew. Grandchildren Shawn, Scott, Kate (Mike Mauti), Kevin, Karen, Kelly, Stephen, Sara, Pam, Emily, Thomas, Jennifer, Kari, Tyler and Great-granddaughter Jenna. Survived by brother Hubert and sisters Truus and Til. Predecessed by brothers Leo, Keub, Sjang, Tilman and Harry and sisters Drieka and Marie. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge 23 Main Street South on Tuesday, July 24, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Uxbridge. Interment , Sacred Heart cemetery , Uxbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

After a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health Corp Oshawa on Saturday July 21st 2001. Bridget, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Mahaffy. Loving mother of Gerry Hickey and his wife Dorothy, Vincent Hickey, and the late Ronald Hickey and his wife Elinor all of Oshawa. Dear sister of Henry McGhee of Balsam Lake and Margaret Doyle of Cobourg. Lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East Oshawa. With a mass of Christian burial at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday July 24th at 2:00 p.m. Interment Oshawa Union cemetery. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Donations to a Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Suddenly at his home in Fraserville on Saturday, July 21st, 2001 at the age of 46. Loving husband of Sandra Sparrow. Caring father of Luke, Shannon and Jesse, Mike and his wife Margarite and Kern. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren J.D. and Cassandra. Fred is survived by his sisters Maryetta and her husband Bruce Armstrong, Shirley Neilson and brother Richard Neilson. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Mildred, Step Mother Kathleen and half sister and brother Katherine and John and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and his extended family. Brother of Mary, Charley and his wife June, Leonard, Barbara and her husband Stan, Linda and her husband Gary, Phillip and his wife Sue, Alice, and Wanda and her husband Steve.
