Peacefully, with family by her side, Doris (nee Beckett) in her 91st year, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Whitby, on Monday, July 9, 2001. Beloved wife of the late George Henry Butler. Dear mother of Lorraine Butler and her husband Neil McCulloch of Seattle, Washington and the late Paul Butler. Mother-in-law of Esther Butler of B.C. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Karen Butler and her husband Bruce Williams, and Jeffrey Butler and his wife Barbara Campbell and great-grandchildren Allyson and Brent Williams, Sister of the late Arthur, Isabel, Evelyn and Frank. Also remembered by Marianne Buchanan and Jim and Elsie McGuire. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. B., Oshawa on Tuesday, July 10, 2001 from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3:30 p.m. Interment Oshawa Union cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Doris to the Chaplaincy Association Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa and Whitby would be appreciated.

Loving father of Kenneth and his wife Joan of Florida, James and his wife Dorey of Hong Kong, John and his wife Amy of Pickering, Jean and her husband John Painter of Oshawa and predeceased by Robert. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Carl, Saul, Rachel. Christopher, Katheryn, Tobi, Christi, Keith, Cindy, Melissa and great-grandchildren Danny, Kyle, Reece, Lauren, Ashley, Scarlett, Juliette, Cody, Brienne and Kevin. Dear brother of Doreen Ruscica of Toronto and predeceased by Leonard and Victor. ELWELL, James Albert "Bert" -
At the age of 73 years. Peacefully at Strathaven Life Care Centre on Monday July 9th, 2001. He will be missed by loving friends & the devoted staff at Strathaven Life Care Centre & also by family. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation has already taken place. Memorial donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation in Bert's memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville.

KONG, Jordan Anthony -
passed away on July 9, 2001 at Sick Children's Hospital. Infant son of Phillip and Antoinette Kong. Loving brother of Tiffany and Jessica. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2001. Funeral service will be held at the Pentecostal Church (755 Oklahoma Dr. at Eyer Dr., Pickering) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2001. Interment Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Eleanor Hughes, his sister Jean Thompson and brothers Jack, William, Stanley, Russell, Raymond and Gordon. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Loving grandmother of Rhonda (Rob), Jason and Lesley. Sister of Verna Ritchie, Ila McGarrie, Dorothy Anderson (deceased) and Bill Johnson. Dearest companion of Mario Pastori (Italy). Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge 23 Main Street South for service in the chapel on Monday, July 9th, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time. Peacefully went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 7, 2001 at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in her 47th year. Susan, beloved wife and best friend of David. Loving mother of Jonathan, Daniel, Timothy and Benjamin. Cherished daughter of Douglas and Ruth Cornish. Much loved sister of Stephen and Valerie, Sharon and Graeme Sweeney. Dear daughter-in-law of John and Helen Hayes, of Winnipeg. Fondly remembered by the Hayes family. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
