LESLIE, Mary “Jean” -
At Lakeridgc Health-Oshawa on Saturday, October 13th, 2001. Cherished wife of Gerald. Beloved mother of Sheila and Karen and her husband Patrick. Very special grandmother of Mariah and Kathleen. Predeceased by brother Donald. Kind and gentle, Jean will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Friends were received at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE, “Thornton Chapel”, 847 King St., West, (905-721-1234) for visitation on Monday, October 15th, from 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday, October 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. A Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Wednesday, October 17th at 3:00 P.M. Interment at Thornton cemetery.

LUCHKA, Nina Marie -
After a lengthy illness, on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 56. Nina (nee Shisko), dearly loved wife of Walter Luchka of Scugog Island. Loved mother of Daniel Luchka and his wife Robin, Nina and her husband Vince Luchka, and the late Michael Luchka. Loving grandmother of Brook-Lynn and Cole. Beloved daughter of Mary and the late Mike Shisko. Dear sister of Lydia and her husband Dave Westlake, Danny Shisko and his wife Florence, Reta and her husband Tom Doyle, and Michael Shisko (deceased) and his wife Linda. Relatives and friends will be received at the Wagg Funeral Home "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905) 985-2171) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 15th at 11a.m. Interment St. Wolodymyr and Olga cemetery , Courtice. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.

NORMAN, Bea -
Peacefully passed away, at the Sunnycrest Nursing Home, on October 13, 2001. Loving wife of Howard. Beloved mother of Carolyn (Jim Miller) and Ronald Cromwell (Georgie). Loved step-mother to Nancy (Peter Ryan) and also predeceased by her step-son Denis Norman. Cherished grandmother to six grandchildren and also eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2001. The Chapel Service will be held at 11 a.m. Cremation. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers.

SULL IVAN, Bertha Mary -
passed away peacefully Saturday, October 13, 2001, in her 87th year at Thornton View Long Term Care in Oshawa, Ontario. Bertha will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and many family and friends throughout Canada and the United States. Loving daughter of the late Crozier and Mary Sullivan. Dearest devoted sister of the late Isabel Nichol, Robert Sullivan and Alice Nichol. A celebration of her life will be held during a family service in Oshawa, Ontario and on Thursday, October 18, 2001 at 2pm at Maher Funeral Home in Campbellton, New Brunswick. Interment Campbellton Rural cemetery. Donations in memory of Bertha made to the Parkinson Society Canada would be greatly appreciated by her family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME Ltd., 152 King St., E., Oshawa (905 433-5558).

Wanamaker, William H. "Bill" -
Suddenly, on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at the Lake-ridge Health Centre in Uxbridge, at age 51. Bill Wanamaker of Seagrave, dearly loved husband of Rita (nee Pharand). Loved father of Sara and her husband Jamie Watson of Woodville, and Martyn Wanamaker of Whitby. Loving grandfather of Ryley Watson. Beloved son of Gertrude and the late Bert Wanamaker of Seagrave. Dear brother of Ron Wanamaker and his wife Leona of Oshawa and Neil Wanamaker and his wife Donna of Seagrave. Relatives and friends were received at the Wagg Funeral Home, "McDermott- PanabakerChapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate the life of Bill Wanamaker was held in the Chapel on Tuesday, October 16th at 1 p.m. with Reverend Ross Carson officiating. Private interment Pine Grove cemetery , Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

BARTER, Mary -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville on Friday October 12th, 2001. Mother of John, Lynda and her husband Dale, Michael and his wife Lisa. Loving grandmother of Jason, Jennifer, David, Dakota and Kaylan. Sister of Robert Bonnetta. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King St. E. Oshawa. Funeral Service will be in the Chapel on Wednesday October 17th, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. Cremation. Donations to the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.

Blower-Hagan, Tina-Marie -
Suddenly on October 12, 2001 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Tina-Marie passed away. Born April 4, 1991. Survived by her two sisters Rebecca (Becky) and Sarah, and her mother Colleen Blower. Lovingly remembered by aunts, uncles, her Poppy, friends and classmates. Friends and family will be received at Washington & Johnston Funeral Home, 717 Queen Street East, (Queen and Broadview) Toronto (416) 465-3577 on Wednesday, October 17, 2001 between 6 pm to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2001 at 3:00 pm. Service done by Rev. Jennings. Memorial donations can be made to a Charity of your choice and would be appreciated.

BREWER, Robert “Bob” -
Peacefully at Fairview Lodge in Whitby on Friday, October 12th, 2001 in his 91st year. Dearly beloved husband of Doris (nee Simmons) for 60 years. Loving father of Patricia and her husband Jack McArthur of Oshawa. Cherished Papa of Anne-Louise and her husband Brian O’Doherty, Christopher and Robert. Brother of Margaret, Marian, Fred, Walter, Eddie; predeceased by Martha, Gerald and Herbert. A Graveside Service was held at Resurrection cemetery , on Monday, October 15th, 2001 at 11:00 AM. Donations made to the Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the farmily. DICKSON, Myrtle Grace (Potts) -
Peacefully surrounded by her family, on October 12, 2001 at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Peterborough. Born in Marmora on February 8, 1913. Treasured wife of Thomas Dickson for seventy years. Loving mother of Roger (Yvonne) of Eganville, Barbara (Richard) Howe of Newcastle, Jim (Margaret) of Orillia and Karen (Fred) Cashin of Orono. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Ada Potts of Marmora, daughter Deborah, sisters Mary and Gertrude, Brothers Gerry and Clayton. Myrtle will be lovingly remembered by her thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and three greatgreat grandchildren. The family received friends at the Kaye Funeral Home, 539 George Street, Peterborough. Funeral service was held in the Kaye Chapel on Tuesday at 1 P.M. Interment Stone Church cemetery , Beaverton. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

FRAS, George Leon -
(Member of St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Chuirch and Choir, involved extensively in the Polish community). (George was born in Siberia to the late Joseph Eras and his late wife Helena Korzeniewicz, where he survived, until moving to Poland. He later emigrated to Canada. passed away peacefully during prayer after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, October 12, 2001 in his 59th year, at Peterborough Regional Health Care Centre. Loving husband of Christine for 35 years. Proud father of Teresa Fras-Wachon and her Husband Andy Of Whitby, and Barbara Fras and her husband Andrew Martin of Sydney, Australia. Cherished Dziadziu of Christopher and Alicia. Dear brother of Joseph Jr. Fras and his wife Irena of Bowmanville, Stella Haight and her husband Bill of Windsor, and Anna Creighton and her husband Douglas of Courtice. Much loved son-in-law of Janina Gardzinski; nephew of Henry Kozubski, Adam Garson, Anna Dybala, Mike Korzeniewicz, and Gladys Rosicki; brother-in-law of Ted Gardzinski and his wife Anna, Barbara Spirata, Regine Weiner and her husband David, Adam Gardzinski, Anna Fairbrother and her husband Wayne, and Elizabeth Murray and her husband Stewart. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St., E., Oshawa (905 433-5558) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. rayers on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church, 411 Olive Ave., Oshawa, on Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Insurrection Catholic cemetery , Whitby. REDDING, Jeffrey Adams -
Jeff passed away peacefully at the Centenary Hospital, on Friday, October 12, 2001, at the age of 41. Loving husband of Rose and adoring father of Matthew and Jennifer. Jeff will be deeply missed by his parents, family and friends. He worked in the restaurant business in the G.T.A. for more than 20 years. He was an ardent baseball fan and enthusiastic coach of the Pickering Red Sox. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax on Monday, October 15, 2001 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. with burial taking place at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens. If one so desires, donations to the Jeffrey Redding Memorial Fund for the Pickering Red Sox or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

YOUNGBERG Richard Allen -
At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Friday, October 12th, 2001, Richard Allen Youngberg age 60 years. Father of Yvonne Youngberg. Friend of Mr. and Mrs. Adams and the staff and residents of The Clarington Manor. At Richard’s request there will be no period of visitation or funeral service. Cremation. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in the family plot in Bowmanville cemetery. Donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, The Fish and Wild Life Fund or The New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund. Peacefully at the Scarborough Grace Hospital on Thursday, October 11, 2001 in his 82nd year. Len Blyth, beloved husband of Dorothy. Loving father of Jim and his wife Josie. Grandfather of Jimmy and his wife Kristine, Jason and his wife Monalisa, and Jeff. Great-grandfather of Jacob, David, and Eric. Brother of George, Pat, and Dot. Peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre, in her 59th year. She is survived by her husband Douglas, son James, and sister Shirley Atkinson. Dear daughter of the late Irwin and Irene McLaughlin. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, October 15, 2001 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
