Formerly of Oshawa. Peacefully at the Quinte Healthcare-Belleville General on Friday, November 16, 2001 in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Barbara Reynard. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Roseanne Power. Loving father of Michele (Minaz) Sarangi of Pickering, Martin (Margo) Reynard of Oshawa, Patricia (Stephen) Canning of Oshawa and Anne Power of Scarborough. Dear brother of Rita Callaghan of Marysville, Edward Power of Oshawa, Joan Williams of Marysville and the late Harold Power. Loved by his grandchildren Asheefa and Michael Sarangi, and Angela, Jennifer and Malissa Reynard. Friends were invited to attend visitation at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613-968-6968), 105 Church St. Belleville on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Read on Tuesday, November 20th at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal St. Charles Borromeo cemetery. Knights of Columbus Council 10846 Read gathered at the funeral home Monday evening at 6:45 p.m. for the Rosary.

(Founder, H.G. Roughley Ltd. Insurance). Unexpectedly, at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Friday, November 16th, 2001 Harold Roughley, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Betty. Dear father of Patricia of Scarborough and Jim and his wife Kathy of Oshawa. Dear brother of Joan O'Brien and her husband Jack of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren: Bradley Decker and Bobby and Paige Roughley. Predeceased by his sister Marion Jackson and his brother Jack Roughley. Survived by his sister-in-law Doris Roughley. Harold served overseas during W.W. II with the R.C.A.F. and upon his return founded H.G. Roughley Ltd. Insurance. He was Past President of the Kinsman Club of Oshawa, Past President of K - 40, member of the Kiwanis Club of Oshawa and longtime member of the Oshawa Golf Club. Peacefully, at his home in Pickering, on Thursday, November 15, 2001, in his 80th year. Cy Cockburn, loving husband of the late Margaret. Loving father of Melanie and Ross. Papa of Ashley and Catherine. Brother of Audrey Lucas, Edward (Ted), John, and predeceased by Roy, and Gloria Neal. Cy will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. JACKSON, Frances Nellie (nee Underwood) -
Entered into rest on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, in her 74th year. Frances, beloved wife of the late Ken Jackson and predeceased by her daughter Jacqueline Easton. Survived by her sisters Lillian Tustin and Elsie St. John and her brother Bob. Predeceased by brothers George, Jack, Fred and sisters Helen, Olivie and Mildred. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, 23 Main Street South, on Friday, November 16, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment Erskine cemetery , Pickering. In Frances's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

JEBSON, Dorothy Gertrude -
Suddenly, on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at the Fairview Lodge in Whitby, at age 74. Loving daughter of the late Harold and Leta Jebson. Loved sister of Eileen and her husband Lloyd Slute of Oshawa, and Maurice Jebson (deceased) and his wife Muriel of Sunderland. Dear aunt to Gordon Jebson and his wife Lisa, Carolyn and her husband John Wildman, Diane and her husband Glen Wetherall, Gary Jebson and his wife Kerri, Joan and her husband Bruce Etherington, Wayne Slute, Larry Slute and his wife Michelle, and Dave Slute and his wife Lee Ann, and great aunt to 19 nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were received at the Wagg Funeral Home, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. A Service celebrating the life of Dorothy Jebson was held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 17th at the 11 a.m. with Reverend Ross Carson officiating. Interment Stone Church cemetery , Beaverton. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Simpson, William Douglas (Doug) -
It is with great sadness that we as a family announce the passing of Doug on Thursday, November 15th, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. At the age of 71. He leaves behind his loving wife Evelyn and his children Linda, John, Rick, David and Kathy (predeceased by Dianne and Ron), together with their spouses his grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Ruth, brother Harold, brother Elwood (predeceased) brother-in-law to Mary Russell (predeceased) along with their spouses and children. Retired from TST Overland Express after 27 years. Loving daughter of the late Simon and Aileen Smith. Loved sister of Aileen Mitchell, and sister-in-law of Bernice "Mick" Smith and Louise Hegadorn. She was predeceased by her brothers Leo and Jack and her sister Kathleen. Dear aunt to Pat Carter, Janice Kendall, Jo-anne Tourangeau, Frank Underwood, Chris Lawson and their families. VANDER HEIDE, Alice (Aaltje) -
Peacefully, on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at the Thorntonview Nursing Home in Oshawa, at age 85. Alice, beloved wife of the late Sybren Vander Heide. Loved mother of Sarah and her husband Ken Montgomery, Edie and her husband Tom Fairman, Tina and her husband Bob Jones, Joanne and her husband Bob Lee, and Alice and her husband Steve Carnegie. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will also sadly miss her. Loving mother of Bruce and his wife Vivienne of Fenelon Falls, Hugh of Newcastle, Keith and his wife Jan of Toronto, and Lorne and his wife Mary of Newcastle. Dear grandmother of Byron and Kiri; Amy, Devon, and Benjamin; David and Sara; Jamie, Donald, and the late Andrea. Sister of Vernon, Mildred, Rita, Olive, and the late Albert, Tom, Hugh, and Edgar, all of Alberta. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. Suddenly as a result of an accident on Wednesday November 14, 2001 in his 22 year. Much loved son of Rick and Cathy Ferguson of Brooklin. Dear brother of Sarah. Special friend of Amanda Roberts. Grandson of Mary and Al Mason of Peterborough, Cecil and Connie Ferguson of Bridgenorth, and the late Betty Ferguson. Fondly remembered by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends. Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN 79 Baldwin Street Brooklin Village from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. FERRY, Helen Patricia (nee Farquharson) -
A great lady has graced our lives and left this world. Surrounded by her loving family in prayer, at home on Wednesday, November 14th, 2001, after a faith filled and wonderful life. Born in Cardiff, Wales, January 20, 1929, the daughter of Tom and Pearl Farquharson (deceased). Cherished wife of Ernest for more than 47 years; he will miss dearly, the love of his life. Devoted and loving mother to six children: Patricia and Don Robertson, Paula and Jim Wineck, Chris and Karen, Peter and Pauline, Jacqueline and David Flynn, Madeleine and Roy Marriott. Loving Gran to twenty two who will sadly miss their "Ga". She is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Mullane and Pam Canham, and predeceased by her brothers Don and Tammy and grandchildren Alanna and Aaron. Remembered always by her life- long friend Gwyneth Moffat of Wales. Helen enjoyed a successful and distinguished career as an award-winning Real Estate Agent for over 32 years and was a well respected Associate Broker with Royal LePage up until her illness. Passionate about her work, Helen's wisdom, expertise and never-ending kindness towards others will be sorely missed by many colleagues and clients. An active parishioner, Helen ran the church library, was an Auxiliary Minister to the sick, an advocate for the disabled, and co-founder of The Rose of Durham. Her faith in God and devotion to Our Lady were an inspiration to all who knew her. We love you mum. Thank you for the gift of faith, the gift of each other, and for all you have done for us. We will never know a more giving person and we will cherish you always. Loving mother of Shirley Lyons of Brampton, grandmother of Jennifer Vanderlieu of Frankville, Michael Stotts of Kitchener, and Stephen Stotts of Brockville. Great-grandmother of Bryce and Brandon Stotts of Woodstock. Dear Aunt of Roy Forget of London. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa.
