Peacefully at home on Sunday, January 1, 2006. Survived by his sons Paul and Blair, their spouses Pauline and Debbie-Lynn and grandsons Remington and Garrison. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marianne, as well as his parents and siblings. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 1230 Bank Street, Ottawa on Friday, January 6, 2006, at 3pm, followed by a reception. In memoriam donations to your favorite children s or cancer charity would be appreciated by the family.

Suddenly in hospital on January 2, 2006 at the age of 82. Loving brother of Edith Wright (late Phil). Dear uncle of Glenn Matthews (Geraldine), Garry Matthews (Joan), Barry Iles (Corey) and Beverly (John). Predeceased by sister Lillian Matthews (late Allan) and brothers William (late Muriel) and Ernest. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm, and Thursday, January 5 from 12:30pm until service time in the chapel at 2:30pm. Interment St. James cemetery , Hull, Quebec, in the Spring. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to your favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.

At the West End Villa, Ottawa on December 25, 2005 in her 93rd year. Born at Sandhurst, Ontario on June 27, 1913, lived in Bath, Kingston and Ottawa. A loving Mother and Wife, she leaves her husband W. Henry (Harry) Jackson, sons Paul (Margaret Ellen) of Rainy River and Peter (Elizabeth) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Brent (Lynel) of Devlin, Ontario, Matthew and Shauna of Ottawa. Great grandmother of William. Predeceased by brothers Clarence and Ernest. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Ottawa on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 11am until service time in the Chapel at 1pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to St. Matthias Anglican Church, 555 Parkdale Avenue, Ottawa, ON K1Y 1H9 or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. (nee Touchette) Peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the age of 75 at the Perley Rideau & Veteran's Health Centre. Dearly loved wife of the late Henri Lacroix of Carlsbad Springs. Mother of Lise Smith (Gordon), Denis and Lynne (Pierre Gaudreault). Also loved by her grandchildren Sophie, Ben, Alain and Julie. Dear sister of Th r se (R jean Lacroix), Simone (the late G rard Lacroix), Fran oise (the late Jacques Lalonde), L on Touchette (Simone) and Andr Touchette (Claudette). Predeceased by one brother Ga tan Touchette (Aline) and three sisters Yvette (the late Guy D s luc), Annette (the late Edgar Giroux) and Henriette (Lionel Renaud). There will be no visitation. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Laurent Catholic Church of Carlsbad Springs on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Society of Ottawa would be appreciated. Much loved aunt to Diane, Edith, Eric, Robert, Joane, Elizabeth and Wayne. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Sunday, January 1, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ottawa Chinese United Church would be appreciated.

Ruth Leslie (nee Langford) - 12/21/2005

Peacefully on December 20, 2005 in her 85th year, surrounded by her children. Beloved wife of the late Laurie Leslie. Daughter of the late H.G. Langford and Emily Langford. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Elizabeth Minnes (Jim) and her sons Grant (Vickie) and John Laurie (Linda). She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Langford and her beloved grandchildren Robyne, Kim and Heather Leslie, Alexandra and Justin Minnes, Matthew and Michelle Leslie and step-granddaughter Lindsay Callan. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on December 27, 2005 from 7-9pm and December 28th from 10am until service time in the Chapel at 11:30am. A reception will follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Arthritis Association would be appreciated.

Peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Care Centre on Friday, December 30, 2005, age 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Loving father of Margaret Lakusta and Nancy McGregor. He will be missed by his grandchildren Jason and Nicola Lakusta. Loving brother of Jean Shadbolt. Special thanks to sister-in-law Jean Brockbank, brother-in-law Garland Shadbolt and friend Lynda Sinclair. We say goodbye to a wonderful husband and father, an exceptional human being. Wendell McKeen passed away on December 28, 2005. He will be sorely missed by Polly (nee Martin), his wife of 59 years, by his children Nancy (Darren Campbell), Liz, Wendy, Bill (Nuala Murray) and Kathryn (Terrance Dupuis) and by loving family and many friends. He was predeceased by his father James McKeen, mother Clara Schwerdfager, brothers Gordon (Jean), Harold (Laura) and sister Grace (Fred). He is survived by his brother Earl (Joan) and many nieces and nephews. He left a great bunch of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Paul Hogan, Christine and Emily Maki, Abrah McKeen, Stephanie, Rachel and Conor McKeen, Ryan Mance, Sydney Hogan and Gus McCallum. Born on July 12, 1924, Wendell grew up in the Glebe. He delivered groceries for his father's store and attended Glebe Collegiate Institute. At 16, he went to sea on the Nascopie, peeling potatoes, then again at 17 as a waiter. At 18 he went to war as a wireless air gunner. He married Polly at St. James United Church in the Glebe in 1946, and then began a joyful life in the Royal Canadian Air Force with a large and loving family. They lived at various times in Clinton, Centralia, Takoma, Washington, Winnipeg, Alsace in France and Portage La Prairie. At the age of 44, he retired from the air force to become a Manpower counsellor in Sudbury and Ottawa. He thought family was the most important thing and it showed with every meal he cooked. He had a humour and magnetism that attracted people and he made and kept lifelong friends, including childhood companions, his war time crew and friends from every place he lived and worked. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday, December 30, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 1pm. Interment Pinecrest cemetery.

Peacefully in her sleep at Saint Vincent Hospital on Christmas Eve in her 80th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Lorne Morgan. Dear sister of Joan Loretta Legris. Loving aunt of Suzanne Legris, Marc Legris, Patricia Lange and family and Betty, Robert and Keith Scott and great-aunt of Jean-Fran ois Legris and St phanie Legris (Patrick Ethier) and their daughters M lodie and Ang line. Special friend of Suzanne Pr vost and Venice Sagisi and family. Predeceased by her sisters Helen Knight, Florence Girlie Scott, Anne Steggles and brother Bill St-Amand. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 6-8pm. Special readings and prayers will be held in the parlour on Thursday evening at 7:30pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, December 30, at 11am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the health care workers at CCAC and VON as well as Doctors Sabatino and Lacroix for their loving care and compassion.
