(Longtime Employee of Bell Canada). Died suddenly on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 in his 55th year. John, loving husband of Myra. 'Best Dad in the world' to Claudine. Devoted brother of Pat and her husband Eric Becker. John will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 796 Eyer Drive, Pickering, on Monday, January 21, 2002 at 11 a.m. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre, Emergency Department would be greatly appreciated.

Sister of Arthur Crawford and sister-in-law of Doris Evans, Dot Harrison, Marion and her husband Jack Boudreau, Joyce and her husband Al Buchanan, Ted Conroy, Theresa Conroy, and close friend and companion Linton Farrow. Thomas (40+ year employee of Bowman Products). Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Oshawa General Hospital on Wednesday, January 16th, 2002 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Beryle. Loving father of Cheryle Rhyno of Ajax and Robin Westermann and her husband Rainer of Germany. Caring grandfather of Brett, Kyle, Sara, Kari, Vanessa and Lucas. Dear brother of Harry Crossley and sister Ivy Brandt. Charlie will be sadly missed by his many friends. Linda Gregorcic of Oshawa, Brian and his wife Jo Ann of Whitby, Sharon and her husband Jim Heffering of Brooklin, Rusty and his wife Brenda of Oshawa, Ed and his wife Laurie Brooklin, Pamela and her husband Brad Maarse of Brooklin, and Patricia and her husband Gerald Hanson of Edmonton, Alta. Always Ioved by her 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Joan Spratt of Fort Erie, and pre-deceased by her brother Don Woodruff. Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN, 79 Baldwin Street Brooklin Village from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service in the chapel Saturday January 19th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment tp follow at GROVESIDE cemetery , Brooklin. MARRIOTT, Leo Max Vincent (1920-2002) -
(Served in the Royal Navy during WW II) passed away peacefully at the Altamont Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 16, 2002. Leo will be sadly missed by his wife Rebecca, sisters-in-law Helen and Audrey, nieces and nephews, Scott and Dana, Harry, Karen, Helen and Bill and family, Fergus and Norma and family, great nieces and nephews, Tracey, Frank and family, Christopher and Steven and friend Jean. The family would like to thank Dr. Winecki and all the nurses and caregivers at the Altamont Nursing Home. Special thanks to Nancy Jordan, Gladys Brett, and Dino Accettone. Survived by his sister Janet (Jenny) Leneten and her family. Fondly remembered by his extended family Liz and Chris McGowan, Claire, Rob, and Emma Shaw and Angie and Sloan Mandel. With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Cynthia on Tuesday, January 15th, 2002 at Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville. Beloved wife of the late Daniel, Cherished and much loved mum of Joan (Jim Mansfield) and Clement (Christine Hurlbut) and treasured, adored and doting Grandma of Ashley and Zachary Mansfield. Loving sister of Pauline of Oshawa, Gilbert of London, U.K. and Annette of Capetown, South Africa. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Esther and her one brother Ralph (Canada). Cynthia was born in Capetown, South Africa on November 4th, 1921 and emigrated to Canada in 1966. She will be lovingly remembered for her great love of music, her lifelong career of teaching young children, her deep appreciation of nature and her compassion and caring of others. She was a devout and proud Christian in the Anglican Church. A Solemn Requiem Eucharist will be held at St George's Memorial Anglican Church (Bagot and Center Streets, Oshawa) on Friday, January 18th at 1:30 PM. Cremation to follow. (Visitation at the Church from 12 Noon until time of Service). Memorial Donations to Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
