Charles Bernard Bradley - 01/04/2006

WWII Veteran
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Bernard Bradley on January 3, 2006. Deeply loved husband and best friend of Dorothy (Stinson). Dear father of Judy (Stephen Barnes), Charles (Jane) and David (Kathleen). Loving grandfather of Caroline Barnes, Emily and Michael Bradley and William and Timothy Bradley. Dear son of the late Charles and Bertha (nee Perkins) Bradley of Malakoff. Dear brother of Geraldine (Ken Wallace deceased) of North Gower. Predeceased by his sister Alta (Everett Montgomery), Betty (Paul Patry) and Ella (Hugh Kelly) of Kingston and Gloria (Chuck Brasier). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Friday, January 6, 2006 from 2 to 4 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on January 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor of the Ottawa Civic Campus for their kindness.

William G Bill Cdr CD RCN (Ret d) Brown - 01/08/2006

passed away peacefully at the Hospice at May Court on January 7, 2006 at the age of 79. He leaves behind his wife, Muriel Max ; daughter Valerie (Paul); sons Stephen (Shirley), Geoffrey (Caroline) Chris (Donna); sister Beverley Duckworth (Russ); brothers Ray (Shirley), Eric (Felicity); grandchildren Jocelyn, William, Alison, Robert and Kate. Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthews Anglican Church, 217 First Avenue, Ottawa on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses who cared for him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice at May Court or the Heart and Stroke would be appreciated.

Robert Duncan Buchan - 01/05/2006

RCAF, WW II 424 Tiger Squadron Peacefully at the Civic Hospital on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at age 82. Devoted husband of Joan (Ruddock). Loving father of Robert (Rosemary) of Vernon, B.C. and Gordon (Denise Trottier) of Ottawa. Brother of John (Nancy) of San Diego and brother-in-law of Keith Anderson, Ottawa. Predeceased by parents, Maurice and Katie (Duncan), brother Gordon, sisters Betty (George Frizzell) and Margaret Anderson. Grandfather to Craig (Tammy) of Quesnel, Darren (Ashley) of Winnipeg, Maureen (Wade) of Vancouver and Dianne (Doug) of Victoria, as well as Paul and Anne of Ottawa. Great-grandfather to Kyra and Aidyn Buchan. Bob was employed by DND, Defence Construction and Engineering for 32 years and was a member of 410 Wing Association. There will be no visitation. A service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Carleton Memorial United Church, Melfa Crescent, on Saturday, January 14th at 2:00 p.m., reception to follow in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution would be appreciated to Carleton Memorial United Church, Sanctuary Repair Fund or the Alzheimer's Society of Ottawa at (613) 523-4004. Special thanks to the staff of Park Place Retirement Residence for their help and support.

Margaret "Peggy" Elizabeth Buse (nee Pye) - 01/06/2006

Peacefully at Fairview Nursing Home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 5, 2006 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of William Alan Buse. Loving mother of Jan (Kirk Hansen), William (Kim) and Barry (Anita). Cherished grandmother of Desta, Brett, Kaitlyn and Sam. Dear sister of Phyllis Burns and Jack Pye (Pierrette). Predeceased by her siblings Bernard, Constance, Jimmy, Sonny, Marjorie and Edna Mae. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfiar & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 11:30am until Service time in the Chapel at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Cotton (nee Ward) Catherine Elizabeth - 01/17/2006

Suddenly on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at the age of 85. Previously deceased by her loving husband John and devoted daughter Janet. Kay will be sadly missed by her beloved daughter Lynne (Ron), her grandchildren Beverley, Wanda, Peter, Amanda and Michael; and her great-grandchildren Geoff, Jamie, Myriah, Glenna, David, Tracey and Adam. She was the eldest of eight children of the Ward family of Chambly, Quebec including Tom (Joan), Janet (Paul), Margaret (John), Joe (Suzanne), Murray (Muriel), Peter (Gerry) and Florence (Lloyd). Kay's extended family was always close ro her heart and she took great joy in the many family gatherings throughout her long life. She had interesting adventures as an exemplary RCAF wife, a Lac Simon cottager and as a snowbird in Sarasota with her many friends, especially Jean. Funeral arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. A family Memorial Service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 154 Somerset Street (at Elgin) on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 4pm. A Celebration of her life will be held in Chambly this spring. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

It is with great sadness that we announce, after a courageous struggle with lung disease, the death of Norman Charbonneau, age 73. Deeply loved husband and best friend of Aline Charbonneau for 49 years. Loving father of Fran oise (Robert), Michel (Debbie), Danielle (Rick) and Johanne. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Shawn, Sophie and Jesse and his great-grandchild Claudia (his princess). Dear son of the late Arthur Charbonneau and Anna Gareau. Brother of Giselle (Pierre deceased), Monique (Bob), Jacques (Suzanne), Lise (Tom), Germain (Louise), Th r se (Alan), Yvon (Aline), Paulette, the late Ernest and the late R jean. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral Mass will be held at St-Louis-Marie-de-Montfort, 749 Trojan Avenue on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 9am. Interment to follow at Notre Dame cemetery. Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.

Cherished father of Maureen Gaudet and Karen Gorman (Rick), Proud grandfather of Amanda Gaudet, Sean and Cameron Gorman. Dear brother of Inez Cray and son of the late William Cray and Florence Hughes. He will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 from 11:30am to 1pm with service to follow in the chapel. Interment Beechwood cemetery. For those wishing donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

Peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late N. Trevor Harris. Dear aunt of Colin, Gordon and the late John Woodhouse. Long-time friend of the late General and Mrs. A.G.L. McNaughton and family. Loved, loyal friend of the Frewen and the Lanceman families and others who all mourn her passing and were proud to have known her. She will be remembered for her life-time love of animals, especially her great work and support of the Humane Society. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Thursday, January 19, 2006 from 7 to 9pm. Beloved mother of Wayne Johnson and dearest Granny of Kelly Johnson and Mike Jones. Dear sister of Helen of Toronto, Tom of Shawville, Aletha of Vinton and the late Milton, Nioma, Raymond and Dwight. Loving aunt of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephew and great-grandniece. Predeceased by Stanley Johnson, great father and very proud grandfather. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday at 11:30am. Reception to follow. Visitation then to follow at the W.J. Hayes and Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 7-9pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday at 11am. Interment Maple Grove cemetery , Shawville. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
