Peacefully at home on Thursday, January 12, 2006 in his 87th year. Dear son of the late William Ironside and Margaret Forbes of Scotland and then later Winnipeg. Cherished nephew of the late Bessie. Ron was born in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. His family immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1928. He was educated at the Gordon Schools, Huntly, Scotland, Winnipeg MB Schools, University of Manitoba, Carleton University and MIT. He resided in Ottawa from 1949 where he commenced his career in analytical chemistry at the National Research Council. His interests in languages, photography, music, the arts and his profession were unquenchable. Private arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions to the Isbister Scholarship Fund at the University of Manitoba would be appreciated.

Peacefully at the Glebe Centre on January 16, 2006 in her 89th year. Daughter of the late H.G. Langford and Emily Langford, predeceased by her sister Ruth Hall Leslie. She will be sadly missed by her niece, Elizabeth Minnes (Jim) and her nephews Grant Leslie (Vickie) and John Lawrie Leslie (Lyn). She will also be missed by her great-nieces and nephews Robyne, Kim, Heather Leslie, Alexandra, and Justin Minnes, Matthew, and Michelle Leslie and step-great niece Lindsay Callan. A private family graveside service to be held at the Beechwood cemetery.
