BOE, Reta Mildred (nee Sleep) -
At the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, Ontario on Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in her 97th year. Reta Boe, wife of the late Orville. Dear mother of Carl Boe and his wife Patricia, and Faye Scott. Dear grandmother of Brian Boe, David Melhorn-Boe, Janice Dowson, Wayne Dowson, and Jill McEnaney and great grandmother of Matthias Melhorn-Boe, Sean, Daryl, Carly McEnaney and Shelby Dowson. Dear sister of Wilbert Couch and predeceased by her brothers Cecil and Melville and her sisters Florence, Viona and Alma. Reta lived in Seagrave, Bowmanville and Port Perry. She was a long time member of the Beehive Rebekah Lodge in Bowmanville and the first Noble Grand of the Maybelle Rebekah Lodge in Port Perry, having been instrumental with her husband in the founding of this lodge in May of 1948. Friends may call at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Rd., Port Perry on Sunday, March 17, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, March 18, 2002 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Pine Grove cemetery , Prince Albert. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Osteoporosis Society of Canada, Seagrave United Church or the Charity of your choice.

Nana of 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. SHARP, Reverend Ronald Arthur -
Major (ret’d) Reverend Ronald Arthur Sharp passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Monday, March 11th, 2OO2. He was born December 8th, 1924 at Pudsey, Yorkshire England, emigrated to Canada and lived in Toronto. Ordained in the Anglican Church of Canada in 1956, he began St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Oshawa in May 1955 prior to his ordination where he spent his whole ministry until January 1 st, 1987. He was a veteran of WW. II in the Royal Canadian Navy. He began his association with the Ontario Regiment as Chaplain in 1959, later receiving the honour of Chaplain Emeritus. Predeceased by his loving wife, Sylvia Frederica Glozier Jones. Son of the late Nellie and John Alfred Sharp. Lovingly remembered by son Timothy, daughter-in-law Luz and grandson Matthew; daughter Christine, son-in-law Alex and granddaughter Meghan; brother John Edwin Sharp and sister-in-law Vilma. Requiem to be held on Friday, March 22nd, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in St. George’s Memorial Church, Oshawa (corner of Centre St. and Athol St.). Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to The Durham Access to Care or St. Elizabeth Health Care.
