After a courageous battle with cancer. At Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville on Tuesday March 5, 2002 at the age of 58 years. Doug, beloved husband ofSandra Jean Usborne (Black). Loving father of Ron (Tanya) of Bowmanville, Mark of Edmonton, Susan (Mark) Luxton of Kendal, Bill (Denise) of Edmonton and Scott (Stacey) of Moose Jaw. Loved grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Loving son of Jean Usborne of Belleville and the late Mac Usborne. Dear brother of Bill (Kathy) of Foxboro. Brother-in-law of Merle, Morley, Shirley, Robert and Reg. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in our Chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Private interment Union cemetery , Colborne at a later date. Donations to the Cancer Society at Lakerdige Health Oshawa would be gratefully appreciated.

Dear brother of Inez& Cork Burgess; Donald & Heather Bickell; Wes & Margaret Knapp; Doug & Nancy Bickell; Dennis Bickell; Alan & Suzette Bickell; Susan & Scott Thertell; Ted & Darlene Bickell; Brian Bickell. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville 1pm Thursday. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to The Cancer Society.

GALLAGHER, Charles -
Peacefully surrounded by his family on March 4th, 2002. Charles, beloved husband of the late Anne. Loving father of Margaret and her husband Gunter, Isobel and her husband Ian, Jim and his wife Luba, and Anne and her husband Gary. Very special grandfather of Mark, Deanna, Ian, Craig, Leanne, Ewen, Alexis, Stephanie, and Kyle. Great grandfather of the cherished newborn Sydney. Charles is survived by his brother James and sisters Cathy, Isa and Jean. Charles will be forever remembered for his devotion inspiration and support to all his family and friends. His love of music and the arts will be fondly remembered and will live on through his family. Thank you Dad for everything. Now Mom and Dad are together again. Special thanks for the dedicated care from the staff at Fairview Lodge. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Sunday March 3rd, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Bill Denney. Loving mother of Karen & her husband Bob Chambers. Cherished "Nanna" of Ashley & Tyler Chambers. She will be sadly missed by Joan & Ed Arnold & all her other friends both in & out of Wilmot Creek. She is survived by her family in Scotland. Suddenly passed away, on March 3, 2002, at the Oshawa General Hospital in her 84th year, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Ernest. Loving mother of Bonnie, Sharon, Diane and Peggy. Cherished grandmother of Stephen, Matthew, Brett, Beth, Gina, Kyle Jeffrey, Colin, Karey (Doug Jeans) and Kelly. Great grandmother of Meghan and Ryan. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, March 7, 2002. Private family service. Cremation. MESHER, Jack -
(General Motor's employee for 35 years - retired 1984), passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on March 3rd 2002, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 77th year. Dearly loved husband of Dorothy (Foster) for over 51 years. Proud and loving father of daughter Nancy and husband John F. Miller (Columbus) and son Neil and partner Edward D. Anderson (Minden). Cherished grandpa of Shane, Cheryl and Aaron Miller who they will always remember as their greatest supporter. Lovingly remembered by brothers Robert W. (Selica) of Cape Breton N.S., Charles F. (Lorna) of Whitby and sister Clara Di Pede of Hamilton. Predeceased by parents, Robert W. and Elizabeth Jane Mesher, sisters Jenny Gallagher, Jessie Hoad, Elizabeth Bagworth and brother Ernest Gallagher. Sadly missed brother in law of Drusilla Gallagher, Russell and Kay Foster, Thelma and Jack Westlake, Jack Foster, Barbara and Don Cochrane, Lois and Steve Nimigon, Jean and Lorne Penfound, Judy Hunt and friend Josef Kartner. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, Jack's greatest passions were his family and hockey. He was delighted when his grandsons developed a keen interest in hockey and was their greatest fan, attending most of their games and accompanying them on many tournaments .In the summer he enjoyed watching the grandchildren play baseball and good times at the cottage, especially when his family gathered together. Friends are invited to visit with the family at W. C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas St., E. Whitby, from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:30 pm. in the chapel. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Durham Regional Cancer Centre or Mount Sinai Hospital Oncology Unit, would be appreciated.

COULTER, Clayton Antwyne -
passed away peacefully in his sleep at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Saturday, March 2nd, 2002 in his 69th year. Clayton was the eldest son of Irene Smith and the late Eugene Coulter. Survived by his loving wife Mary Jean “Pat” (nee Patterson) of 42 years. Loving father of Carla Jean Lace and her husband Les; and two precious "grandboys", Bradley Allan and Taylor James. Brother of Orlee Stewart (Lorne), Grace Kimble, Jean Boneham (John), Rita Goodfellow (Joe), and Maurice Coulter (Maria), and predeceased by sister Lila Patterson. Will be missed by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE “Thornton Chapel”, 847 King St., West (905-721-1234), for visitation on Tuesday, March 5th, from 2.4 & 7-9 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 6th, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. Interment Verulam cemetery , Bobcaygeon. Donations made to the Lakeridge Health-Oshawa, New Durham Region Cancer Center or a Charity of choice would be appreciated.

passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Saturday March 2, 2002, in her 91st year. Frances, beloved wife of the late Lorne Grozelle (1967) and of the late Malcolm McColl (1979). Dear mother of Larry and his wife Theresa, Sister Barbara Grozelle, Mary and her husband Bob Harvey, Cathy and her husband Bert Van Den Hoogen and mother-in-law of Mary Lou. Lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and by her sister-in-law Ada. Predeceased by her son Robert, her brother John and her sister Kathleen and her husband Fergus. The family will receive friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Sadly missed by her son Donald and his wife Deborah Guay of Cobourg. Loved grandmother of Dwayne and Hillary of Victoria, BC, Darrin and Nicolle of North Carolina and Daniel at home. Dear great grandmother to Nyomi. Also remembered by her niece Theresa Rocheleau of Oshawa. Suddenly, while visiting family in Truro, Nova Scotia, on Saturday, March 2, 2002, in her 71st year. Beloved wife of the late Wesley Albert McCallum (1963) and the late George Phillip Rodgers (1998). Loving mother of Lyn, Joan, David, Gail, Ruth and Chris. Mother-in-law of Philip Powell and James Fannon. Loving grandmother of David, Darren, Darryl, Gregory, Amanda, Laura, Katelyn, Wesley, Steven, Clayton, Michael, Jonathon, Jocelyn, Danielle, Nicholas, Mary-Grace and Kaiden. Dear sister of Doug McCallum of Scarborough, Doreen Hoare and Kenneth McCallum both of Truro, Nova Scotia.
