The family of Walter announces with sorrow his death on April 25, 2002 in his 89th year. He was the only son of the late William and Emma of Greenbank. Beloved husband of Ruby Lee for 60 years. Devoted father of Carol and Catherine. A man of diverse, unique talents and enthusiasms was born in the family home in Greenbank on January 26, 1914. He was educated in Greenbank, Port Perry, attended Toronto Normal School and then the University of Toronto where he graduated from electrical engineering in 1942, remaining on the faculty for several years until joining Bell Canada. After retiring from Bell Canada in 1972 he was fortunate to be able to travel to many parts of the world, an avid reader, historian and camper with many winters spent in Mexico. Summers found him in Greenbank attending his garden and bees. If desired, donations to Bethel cemetery Board will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Private burial in Greenbank has already taken place.

Dear aunt of Joyce, Joan and Jackie. Predeceased by her sister Elda Watson and her brothers Redvers and Harvey Ross. Sylva was born in Peterborough, May 13, 1904. She moved to Oshawa in 1934 and immediately became active in the community, including the YWCA, St. Andrew's United Church, Lifetime Member of the McLaughlin Art Gallery and Lifetime Honorary President of the Oshawa General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Sylva will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
