Suddenly after a brief illness with his family by his side at Oshawa General Hospital on Friday, April 19th, 2002 at the age of 65. Survived by his wife Diane and their dog Thunder. Sadly missed by his Godson Philip, his sister Becky and their parents Joann and Stephen. Lovingly remembered by his niece Alana-Lee and sisters-in-law June and Rose. Herbie will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends in both Canada and Germany. Predeceased by sister Ellen Chartrand, and brothers Larry, Gordon, and Leo. Lovingly remembered by other family members and friends. Mrs. Stevens rested at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas St. E., Whitby on Monday April 22, 2002. Mass of the Christian burial was held at St. John the Evangelist Church on Tuesday April 23.
