(Volunteer Hospital Auxiliary, Oshawa General Hospital; Tournament Director of Ontario Women's Golf Association; Former member Oshawa Golf Club; Volunteer Librarian Duke of Edinburgh School) Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, on Thursday, May 23, 2002, Ellie (nee Bone) in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Stephen Heney. Loving mother of Jim and his wife Fran Heney of Vancouver, Cathy and her husband Victor Myers of Oshawa and John and his wife Nancy Heney of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Aaron, Tara, Joel, Mathew and Alex. Sister of Barbara and her late husband Robert "Bubs" Stewart. Remembered by Mickey and Cinder. Fondly remembered by friends in Florida. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. Donations made in memory of Ellie to Oshawa General Hospital Foundation, New Durham Region Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Eleanor's spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren.

Peacefully, at home on Thursday, May 23, 2002. Isobel, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank McQuaid. Loving mother of David Rau of Powell River, B.C., Larry Rau and his wife Suzanne of Maidstone, Marlene Forder of Oshawa and John Rau of Montreal. Stepmother of Karen, Michael, Francis, Robin and the late Ron and James McQuaid. Dearly remembered by 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Sister of Marjorie Schmuck of Guelph, Alan Peden of Mississauga and the late Pat and Mike Peden. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Saturday from 7~9 p.m. A complete service will be held in the chapel on Sunday, May 25, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. with cremation to follow. MacPHAIL, Vera May (Skeeles) -
With sadness, the family of Vera MacPhail announce her passing. She died peacefully at Versa Care Centre in Uxbridge on Thursday, May 23rd, 2002, two weeks after her 93rd birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Donald and her daughter Ruth. She was the beloved mother of Donna Knox, Murray (Stephanie) and Douglas (Evelyn). Sadly missed by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Vera will be missed by her many friends from the I.O.D.E., of which she was a member for over fifty years. She was also a willing worker for the Ladies Association of the Presbyterian Church. She loved to sing and play cards. Special thanks to Versa Care staff for their kindness during the past four years. A celebration of Vera's life will be held from the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge 23 Main Street South on Sunday, May 26, 2002 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation two hours prior. Memorial donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation or Charity of your choice.

Loved father of Deborah and her husband Roger Allen, and Christopher Toman and his wife Kathleen. Dear brother of Sheila Kennedy, and Joe Toman and his wife Denise of Cobourg. Gabe is predeceased by his parents Hugh and Molly Toman, and his sister Marie Standish.
