Dear brother of Sely and her husband Charlie Trail (Stoney Creek), and Susan Schaffeler (Switzerland). Greatly loved brother-in-law to Sheila and Jacques Carriere (Ottawa), John and the late Nancy Taylor (Sutton), Anne and the late Peter Ross (Thunder Bay), Allan Doherty (Whitehorse), Margaret Doherty and Ian Gemmill (Kingston), Chris and Pam Doherty (St. Albert). Much loved uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Montreal, Quebec, graduated BComm McGill University 1960. Thirty year employee of Avery Dennison Mfg., Montreal and Bowmanville. Past Treasurer, Memorial Hospital Bowmanville, volunteer Canadian Red Cross and Durham Distress Centre. Peter was happiest when he was with family, and he was dearly loved and will be missed more than words can express. He is also survived by his daughter, Anita Reansbury (Paul) of Brantford, Ontario, his sons Lance (Lise) of Orleans, Ontario; Stewart (Judith) of Rothesay, NB.; and Gary (Mary-Louise) of Oshawa. Beloved Papa of Jean-Francois, Dominic, Mathieu, Jo-anna, Nicholas, Laurie Anne, Stephanie, Jarrett, Benjamin, Josh, Patrick, Tobin, Trevor, Tierney and Alexandra. John was pre-deceased by his sister Hazel Lightle (Percy) and brothers Lorne (Jean) and Harvey (Muriel) and is survived by his brother Donald (Margaret) of Kemptville, Ontario as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
