Formerly Superintendent of Curriculum Physical and Health Education, Metropolitan Toronto Separate School Board, and Principal of St. Barbara’s Catholic School, Scarborough. Joe had also taught at St. Rose of Lima and St. Lawrence Catholic Schools in Scarborough. Past Grand Knight Scarborough Council, Knights of Columbus (1955-1961). Joe was active in coaching junior hockey and baseball leagues. As “Brother John”, Joe taught at De LaSalle Oaklands Academy and De LaSalle Choir School on Bond Street. Also a member of the Suburbanaires Barbershop Chorus. Beloved husband of Joyce (Story). Dear father of David and Debbie Ross and her husband Bob. Proud grandfather of Melissa, Meaghan, Brandon and Shannon. Joe was also a loving foster father to many little ones. Longtime member of St. Joseph’s Highland Creek and Sacred Heart, Uxbridge Roman Catholic Churches. Predeceased, his brothers Bobby, John and Freddie and by his daughter-in-law Sheila and granddaughter Lisa Marie. Joe thoroughly enioyed his cottage and was an avid caretaker of his century home in Roseville.
