KENNEDY, Linda Gail Patricia (Jones) -
September 20th, 1944 – July 8th, 2004. At the tender age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer, Linda has finally found the peace and serenity she deserves. She left us at 1:35 P.M. on Thursday, July 8th, 2004, peacefully and in her “own way” at home surrounded by her loving family. Linda was the 10th of 11 children born to the late Joseph and Violet Jones. Predeceased by her oldest brother Jack, her sister Shirley and her brother David. Survived by sister Barbara, brothers Joseph, Duke, Frank, Jim, Fred and Stan. She will be sadly missed by many friends and extended families. Most of all missed dearly by her partner of 20 years, her husband Alexander (Al). A void will be left in the hearts of her 4 children, Mark and his wife Cynthia, Derek, Marika and her husband John and Ronnie and his wife Bridget. Forever and ever will be treasured by her grandchildren who were inspired by her, Tinika, Tanner, Kylee, Joey, Anika, Brodie and Mackenzie. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE “Thornton Chapel” 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Saturday, July 10th from 7 – 9 P.M. and Sunday, July 11th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, July 12th at 1:00 P.M. Memorial Donations to the Lung Association or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated.

At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday July 8, 2004 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Heinz. Dear mother of Dennis Elizuk & his wife Wendy. Lovingly remembered by her grandsons David & Daryl. Dear sister of Mary McKay, Mike Rosnak, Lena Clark, Olga Tomalak, the late John Rosnak, Steve Rosnik, Bill Rosnak, Peter Sloy and Rosie Boychyn. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa, with funeral service in the Chapel on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. Entombment Thornton cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

WENTZEL, Jacoba 'Cooee' -
Suddenly, on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a short battle with cancer. Jacoba, beloved wife of the late Douglas. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Doug and his wife Carmen, Trevor and his wife Jane. Sister of Liz Layne and sister-in-law to Ken and Jean and sister-in-law to Muriel. Dear gran to Sandy, Michael, Jeff, Steve, Chris and Lesley. Great-grandmother to Mackenzie, Jose, Chelsea, Martina, Aiden, Caelum and Ethan. Fondly remembered by Danielle. Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday, July 13 at 1 p.m.. from St. Paul's On The Hill Anglican Church, 882 Kingston Rd., Pickering. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

CHUTE, Ileen (Hart, Nee: Mills) -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on July 7th, 2004. Beloved wife and companion of 33 years to Ernest, Stanley Hart. Beloved wife of 8 years to Robert William Chute. She will be missed by her children, Robert Hart and wife Lison of Oshawa, Brent Hart and wife Heather of Whitby. Grandmother of Sara of Burlington and Alexander and Lauren Hart of Whitby. Pre-deceased by brother Ross Mills. A celebration of Ileen's life will be held Monday, July 12th, 7 - 9pm at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Hwy #2, Courtice, ON (905-432-8484). There will be no funeral service by request. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Charity of your choice directly or through Courtice Funeral Chapel.

JAGDAT, Stanley K. -
Suddenly, on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at his home. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Jennifer, Natalie and her husband Todd. Proud grandfather of Reily. Predeceased by father Hansraj, mother Goldie and sister and brothers. Will be sadly missed by sisters Agnes, Molly, Anita and Sheila and brothers George, Eddie and Danny and all of their families. A memorial and celebration of Stanley's life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Ave., Pickering, Ont. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

LEASK, Sharon Rita -
(Former employee of Port Perry IGA - Deli Counter).
After a lengthy battle with cancer, on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 52. Sharon (nee Sinclair), dearly loved wife of Alex Leask of Prince Albert. Loved mother of Wendy and her husband Mark Flagler of Omemee, and Craig Leask and his fiancée Jennifer Rizzo of Port Perry. Loving grandmother of Ashley. Beloved daughter of Mary and the late Lester Sinclair of Peterborough. Dear sister of David, Arlene, Adrienne, Marilyn, Gary and Raymond. The family of Sharon Leask will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Sunday, July 11th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, July 12th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Patrick Long officiating. Interment Pine Grove cemetery , Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry. .

SEARS, Elizabeth Lenora -
passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 with her husband Michael by her side. In her 57th year. Beloved wife of Michael Sears of Bowmanville. Loving mother of Sara and her fiance Wade Harris, and Raymond all at home. Loving daughter of Bernice (nee Hamilton) and her husband the late Orval Francis and dear daughter-in-law of Rita and Henry Sears. Dear sister of Bob and Bev of Bobcaygeon, Bill and Carol of Long Beach. Sadly missed by extended members of the Francis and Sears families. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

GUMMER, Thomas (Veteran of WWII) -
Entered into rest at the Rouge Valley Ajax/Pickering Health Centre on July 6, 2004, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Marjory Gummer (nee: McSkimming). Loving father of David (Eleanor) and Diane (John). Grandfather of Marie. Dear brother of Arthur Gummer and his wife June, of the U.K. and special friend of Skippy. Thomas will be fondly remembered by many good friends at the Whitby Senior's Centre. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Whitby Senior's Centre.

KLYNE, Helen Ada -
At the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday July 6, 2004. Helen Ada Northrup in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Larry Klyne and the late Harold Wilson. Loving mother of Chris Wilson, Linda and Pat Marren, Lori and Dan Matthews, Beverly Brown, Ronald Klyne and Debbie, Kathy and Danny Bazley, Linny Barkwell and predeceased by Fay Pratt. Mother in law of Tom Pratt, and the late Orv Barkwell. Lovingly remembered by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and sitier-in-law Ruth Northrup, nephew Avard Northrup and niece Sandra Northrup. Predeceased by her siblings Murray Northrup, Ronald Northrup and Avad Northrup (overseas WWII). A graveside service was held at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens Whitby, Ontario on Wednesday July 7, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

McMANN, Katharine Evaline -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Medical Facility, Oshawa, Tuesday July 6th, 2004 in her 82nd year. Katharine Evaline Little, beloved wife of the late Howard McMann. Dear mother of Leigh Beauchamp and her husband Edmond, Frederick McMann and his wife Valerie of Oshawa and the late Linda. Loving grandmother of Ryan and his wife Stacey McMann, Rob and his wife Helena McMann and Albert Beauchamp all of Oshawa. Great grandmother of Jackson and Luke McMann. Sister of Merle Zealand and loving aunt of David Zealand of Cobourg. Private family service.

Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 6th, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Corporation Oshawa. Marj Trumbley in her 77th year. Predeceased by her husband Len. Beloved mother of Sharon, Dave and his wife Debbie. Devoted grandmother of April and Sarah. Will be sadly missed by her sister Jean. Predeceased by her sister Joan. Marj will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. The family of Marj would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Chang and the staff of Lakeridge Health Corporation Oshawa. HILL, Keturah "Kit" -
Age 93 years. Peacefully at Fosterbrooke Long Term Care Facility, Newcastle, on Monday July 5th 2004. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Harry Hill over 60 years. Kit was a pioneer of Wilmot Creek. At Kit's request there will be no visitation or Funeral Service. Cremation has already taken place. Memorial Donations may be made to the Charity of your Choice.
