(Proud 35 year Employee of Lands and Forest, long-time Member of The United Church of Canada and the Masonic Lodge).
After spending time at the family cottage, peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on Friday, July 2nd, 2004, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Beth for 53 years. Devoted father of Karyn and her husband Ken Leonard and Kevin and his wife Shari Madill. Proud grandpa of Meagan, Devyn and Brent. Dear brother of Norma McLeod and her husband David of Scarborough and brother-in-law of Marilyn Kyle of Peterborough. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE 'Thornton Chapel', 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Monday, July 5, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Joseph Lafave officiating. Interment Thornton cemetery. A special thank you to the caring emergency staff at Scarborough General Hospital. Donations may be made to Scarborough General Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

Brother of Alice Wilson and her husband Bill of Toronto. Relatives and friends were received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E. Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday July 6, 2004 from 12 noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Donations in memory of John to a favourite Charity would be appreciated.

TAYLOR, Colleen Sandra -
In her 62nd year. Peacefully at her home on Friday July 2, 2004. Beloved wife of Howard Taylor. Dear mother of son Darryl and daughter Jayne & her husband Darren Sayliss. Loving grandmother of Savanna, Madison and Taylor. A Special Thank You to the Lakeridge Health Oshawa Oncology Unit, the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Emergency Department and the Saint Elizabeth Nurses. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday July 7, 2004. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to Memorial Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated.

WARREN-BOONE, Sandra (Sam) Gail -
Peacefully, after a courageous battle against cancer, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, July 2nd, 2004 in her 51st year. Daughter of the late Cecil and Audrey. Loving mother of David and his wife Lori Warren, Missy Warren, Amanda Warren and her fiancé Murray Tucker and remembered by their father Leon Warren. Devoted sister of Gordon and his wife Diane Giasson, Debbie and her husband Rick Lediard, Brenda and her husband Will Gauthier, Wayne Smith, Wanda Wilkinson and her fiancé Paul Trent. Cherished Nanny to Darren, Austin, Sydney and Nicholas. Will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. A special thank you to John and Gerry McConnell and Penny Nelson for their tender care. CANNAVAN, Daniel -
Peacefully on Thursday July 1, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 77. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, June 8, 1927. Beloved husband for 55 years of Isabella (nee Pearson). Loved father of Daniel (Anne), William John (Sharon), Maureen (Wes), Allan (Gail), Gerry (Christine), Pauline (Chris), and Sean. Lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren Lisa, Jennifer, Amanda (Scott), Tonya, Sarah, Rachel, Katie, Krystal, Mary Kate, Jared, Joshua and Ashley and his great grandson Noah. Daniel will be remembered by his sister Jean Raddish of Wales and may brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews in Scotland. Special thanks to the nurses of 4 Main at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their compassionate care especially Brenda and Rosemary. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa, on Sunday July 4th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayers in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (Mary and Beatrice) on Monday July 5th at 11 a.m. Cremation. Proud grandmother of Joanne, Susan (Brian), Michael, Lynda (Alan), Ann (Rob), and 4 great- grandchildren. HORNER, John Arthur Manson -
In his 89th year, formerly of Shawville, Que died peacefully July 1, 2004 in Hillsdale nursing home in Oshawa,ON. Predeceased in 1988 by his wife, Grace Horner (nee Carswell) of Bryson. He was the son of the late Arthur and Florence Horner of Shawville and beloved brother of Iva Vickery and Margaret Horner both of St. Petersburg Fl. Loving father of two sons; John of Oshawa and Donald of Wallaceburg, ON., two daughters; Elizabeth Morton of Oshawa and Elaine Gerrow of Havelock, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also predeceased in 1994 by grandson Daniel Gerrow of Havelock, ON.

McILVEEN, Phyllis Ruth -
Peacefully, in Oshawa, on July 1, 2004, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Don McIlveen for 60 years. Loving mother of Dianne and Doug Lamb, Gail and Jerry Dionne, Sharon Couvier, and Laurie and Shawn Priske. Dearest grandmother of Brett, Trent and Dorothy, Rachael, and Meredith; Sean and Ruth, Miranda and Khadar, and Robin; Tara and Jenna; Cameron and Gillian. Cherished great-grandmother of Michael, Kaitlin, Jacob, Cody and Shad. Special sister of Jean Elliott, Shirley McNelly, and the late Flossie Roberts, Olive Kelly, Clarence McNelly, Norris McNelly and Lois Vosberg. Also fondly remembered by Don's family and her many friends. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held at NORTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 676 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. NOLTIE, Virgil Henry "Bud" -
(40 year employee of Bell Canada Pioneers, served 3 years in R.C.A.F. and member of Oshawa Trailer Club). Peacefully at Creemore Nursing Home on Thursday, July 1st, 2004, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (nee McNeill). Loving father of Kirk (Terri McAllister). Predeceased by his parents Violet and Henry Noltie and his brother Ross Noltie. STACKARUK, Jean -
After several months of battling a critical illness, specially cared for by granddaughter Joyce Branton, Jean passed away Thursday morning, July 1, 2004. Jean was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church, Oshawa. She loved cooking and entertaining people, especially her family. Her joys are left with Marjorie Hogan, Dallas, Texas and son Frank Stackaruk, Stony Plain, Alberta. She was frequently visited by her grandchildren, Shari Jamison of Dallas, Randy Stackaruk of Oakville and caregiver Joyce Branton of Ajax. Other grandchildren include 3 from the Frank Stackaruk family in Alberta. She had 7 great-grandchildren. Additional immediate family includes Helen Musoronchan, Lena Humeny, Vicki Symboluk, Isabelle DesJarden, Peter Olynyk and Jack Olynyk. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE 'Thornton Chapel', 847 King St. West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 3rd, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Hospital for Sick Children or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated. Peacefully after a short illness, with his beloved wife Dora by his side, at Fosterbrooke Long Term Care Facility on Thursday, July 1, 2004, in his 76th year. Charles, loving husband for 54 years of Dora Ellen (Doreen) of Wilmot Creek. He will be sadly missed by his son Douglas Charles and his wife Catherine Lee of Orono. Loving Grandpa of Jamie Lee. Survived by three brothers and a sister in England and their families. A memorial gathering to celebrate Charles’ life will be held at the Wheelhouse of Wilmot Creek on Tuesday, July 6, between 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers’ Society would be appreciated by the family, and may be made through NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 905-987-3964, with whom arrangements have been entrusted. .
