Aikins (nee Aldred) Vivan "Vicki" Elaine
passed away peacefully on August 16, 2013 at the age of 58. Vicki is lovingly remembered by her husband Paul Aikins, her parents Betty and Bernie Aldred, and her two sons Ryan and Adam Tanner. She also leaves behind her sisters Debbie Smith, Suzie Mathews and Jackie Stiner and her brother Bernie Aldred Jr. as well as the members of her large extended family. Vicki was a thoughtful, vibrant and selfless mother, wife, daughter, and sibling, as well as an honorary ‘sister’ to many. Her infectious laughter and warm heart made her a quick and lasting friend to the many people whose lives she touched. For over 30 years, Vicki was a valued asset to Enbridge, where she enjoyed a successful career and developed lifelong friendships with her coworkers. Shortly after, she pursued her passion of loving and caring for animals on the farm she shared with Paul. Through her kind, giving nature, Vicki provided strength, guidance and unparalleled love to so many. Her sudden passing is a tremendous loss. She has been taken from us far too soon and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
