Harrison, Tom

On Wednesday, April 25, 2012 after an 11-year struggle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Tom passed away in his 55th year. Dear husband of Juliette (nee Todd). Cherished father of Gordon, daughter Katie and Ashleigh Webster. He also enjoyed his new Bassett puppy “Bentley”. Loved son of George and Helen Harrrison, brother of Kathy Forsyth, and the late Keith Harrison (1988). Son-in-law of Eleanor Todd, and brother-in-law of Holly and Bruce Williamson and Sherri and John Foote. Uncle of several neices and nephews. A sincere thanks to good friends on this long journey; Bruce Terry, the Oldham Family, The Hickeys, and many hunting buddies. A celebration of Tom’s life was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge (905) 822-3073 on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation for one hour prior. A reception followed at the Uxbridge Royal Canadian Legion Branch 170 (109 Franklin St., Uxbridge). In memory of Tom, please consider a donation to the ALS Society (www.walkforals.ca/ontario) or a charity important to you.

Golden, Audrey
(nee: Timbers)

passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the ReachView Village Nursing Home in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband John Golden. Loving mother of Susan (Ian). Proud grandma of Shelley Archer (Robert) and great grandma of Simon and Emmeline. Audrey will be missed by her nieces and nephews Linda, Donna (Wayne), Brenda (Doug), Wesley (Darlene), Jeanette, Jacqueline (Roger) and Janine (Sam).
A Funeral Service was held in the chapel at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 12 – 1 p.m. Interment Uxbridge cemetery. Reception followed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Clarke, Lloyd Hillbert Earl

After a year and a half stay at Reachview Village Nursing Home in Uxbridge, in his 96th year, Lloyd Clarke passed away on Monday, April 23rd, 2012. Lovingly remembered by his sister Mary Murphy and predeceased by brothers; Bill, Joe, Harold, Charles and Don. Lloyd will be forever remembered and missed by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as his good friend Shirley DeKoning. Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 for visitation on Friday, April 27th, 2012 from 11:30am until time of service in the chapel at 1pm. Rev. Ted Thompson to officiated. Interment followed at Uxbridge cemetery. In memory of Lloyd, please consider a donation to a charity important to you.

MacRae, Teresa (Terry)
(nee: Miscio)

Peacefully in her 60th year, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of John for 40 years. Loving Mom of April and Chris Simpkiss and Jeremy and Haley MacRae. Loved and cherished Grandma of Ashley and Brianna Simpkiss and Jeralyn MacRae. Dear daughter of the late Alfred and Berniece Miscio. Sister of Mikel, Waneita, June, Tony (Linda) and Dona (Guy). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. passed away at Community Nursing Home in Port Perry on Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 with his family by his side. Bill Morgan; dearly beloved husband of Aila Morgan of Port Perry. Loving father of Diane (Jeno) Eppel, Alan (Kathleen) and Kent (Arlene) and predeceased by Paul. Dear grandfather of Jacob, Jillian, Marie-Soleil and Andrew. Brother of Jack (Judy – deceased) and predeceased by Dorothy. Bill will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. At the request of Mr. Morgan, no funeral service will be held. Family and Friends were invited to a reception to celebrate the life of Bill at the home of Diane and Jeno Eppel on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry, (905) 985 – 7331.

Phair, Elva
(nee: Seeley)

Went to be with the Lord and her loved ones on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Peel Manor in Brampton in her 93rd year. Born in Cochrane, ON in 1919 to Louise McCuaig and Cedric MacKenzie. Predeceased by the love of her life Orville Seeley in 1975. Loving mother of Pamela Cook (Daryl), Linda Seeley and Warren Seeley. Proud grandmother of Kevin, Colin, Cheryl Cook, the late Brenna Seeley and 3 great grandchildren. Sister of Don MacKenzie, the late Margaret Bested (Bob), the late Noreen Pryce (Ernie), the late Joyce Wilcox (Ross) and sister-in-law of the late Rebecca MacKenzie. Elva will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as her second husband Wilmot Phair of Port Perry. A Funeral Service was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. with visitation from 12:30 – 2 p.m. Reception followed. Elva was laid to rest with Orville at the Uxbridge cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society.

Ott, Christa Maria (nee: Wegert)
1930-2012

After a lengthy illness, Christa was called to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Beloved wife of Rolf, Christa also leaves behind her four married children Jack (Bev), Regina (Alan), Dick (Cindy),Thomas (Ruth), her 11 grandchildren Shayla, Natalie, Nolan, Ian, Andraea, Darren, Loretta, Chance, Brandon, Tyrell, Dana and her 3 great grandchildren Owen, Aurora and Colt who are all missing their Omi. Her brother Rev. Wolfgang Wegert and the whole Wegert clan are all missing a wonderful sister, cousin and aunt. Christa was an enterprising person. She had her own successful business for almost 40 years. After retirement she became an accomplished painter and teacher but above all, she was known for her love for people and her willingness to get involved to make everyone’s life just a little better. A Visitation was held at the Uxbridge Baptist Church (231 Brock St. W., Uxbridge) on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11am. With visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge (905) 852-3073. As a family we would like to thank the doctors (Dr. S. Chin and Dr. J.Wilson) and all the caring nurses and helpers on the 2nd floor of the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Mikkelsen, Annie Kathleen (Kay) (nee: NIGHSWANDER)
November 11, 1935 – April 14, 2012

On Saturday, April 14, 2012, Kay left this world to join her beloved husband VERNER MIKKELSEN in heaven. She leaves behind a legacy of adoring children, John (Debbie) Mikkelsen, Kris (Milly) Mikkelsen, Kirsten (Robert) McFayden and Mary-Jane Mikkelsen and grandchildren, Karley, Alexander, Andreas, Dayna, Colleen and Erik, brother Reg (Helen) Nighswander, sister Isabelle Bruce and many treasured friends. Kay’s love for the simple things in life, quilting, baking, gardening and music will be remembered by all. A visitation was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service was held at the Sandford United Church (405 Sandford Rd. Sandford) on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment Sandford cemetery. Reception followed at the Sandford Community Centre. (nee: Evans)

passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Ballycliffe Nursing Home in Ajax in her 89th year. Sadly missed by her daughter Karen Kirk (Rick). Proud nanny of Celeste (Jeff), Karly (J.L.) and great nanny of Maxwell, Campbell and Maya. A memorial service was held in the chapel at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S. May 6, 1922 – April 8, 2012

passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital in his 90th year. Husband of Peggy. Dear father of Patty (Paul), John (Ewa), Jim, Peter (Judie), Susan (the late Dunc) and Joan (Ron). Proud grandpa of Tyler, Shauna, Ashley, Kyle, Voyslav, Craig and Dale. Great grandpa of Isaiah. Survived by his sister Joyce. Predeceased by his brothers Donald, Cecil and his twin brother Ken (Jean). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. A veteran who proudly served his country in WWII with the RCAF as a Flight Sergeant/Tail Gunner in the Lancaster Bomber Command, Service # R290397. In keeping with Keith’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. A Legion Service at 1:30 pm, with a Celebration of Life to follow, will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 170 (109 Franklin St. Uxbridge) on Sunday, May 6, 2012.
