It is with profound sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of our dear brother Bill on Friday October 7th, 2011. In his 66th year. Predeceased by his parents Jessie & Stanley Podpora and his friend Alan Cywink. Will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters Jean Hughes, Chester Podpora, Stanley (Linda) Podpora, Wally Podpora, (Debbie) Pauline (Ray) Snoddon, Ian (Sue) Podpora, Charlotte (Ernie) Pase, Helen & Colin Harte. Bill will be remembered for his generous and extended kindnesses that he showed to the people he loved and his wonderful good looks and baby blue eyes. After a prolonged battle with lung cancer, it is with great sadness that his family says their final goodbyes. He was a dedicated fire fighter until his retirement. He loved all sports and really enjoyed golfing with his friends and his beloved wife Norma Bailey. His wife Norma and his children Richard Long, Ron Bailey (Darlene), Jan McNutly (Joe), Wm Bailey Jr. (Joanne), John Long (Leslie) and Ann Newman will miss him greatly. His 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren have lost their “Pop”. Predeceased by son Francis Long, grandson Adam Bailey and his sister Ruth Ferguson. Survived by brother-in-law Cliff Ferguson, sister Helen (Joe) Gatt will think of his often. Predeceased by his parents Agatha and Samuel Cywink, his brothers Joe, Alfie, Nick, Bob, Wilfred, Bill, Frank and his sister Sheila of Whitefish Falls.
