Friend and sister of Lynda Kendry, Ken Geer (Melissa) and Gord Geer (Chris). Daughter-in-law of Nora Tindall. Sister-in-law of Bruce (Lynn). Aunt to Patti, Theresa, Chris, Lisa, Phillip, Kyle, Derek, Andrea and Brooke. Karen will be missed by her extended family and friends. Deeply beloved wife of the late Earle Maxwell Rowsell and dearest mother of Danny, Diana, Douglas and Donna. Dotting Grandmother to Andrew, Timmy, Eric, Justin and Megan and proud Great-grandmother to Kayleigh and Marley. Betty’s caring, easy going personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed and remembered by everyone who knew her.

(WWII Veteran)
Quietly passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 in his 88th year, joining his adored wife Ellen and treasured daughter Gail. Loving father to Rory, Lynn (Bill Thornhill), Glenn (Jennifer) and Tracey (Bart Callahan). This proud Grandpa will be fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A passionate Canadian and Scotsman, George served 30 years in the RCAF and then opened his own successful business, AA&A Plumbing, which he ran for 15 years until his retirement. He loved travel and traveled regularly during his years in the air force. In later years, he and Ellen enjoyed numerous road trips visiting friends throughout Canada and the US.
He had a love for music and over his life played the bagpipes, harmonica, banjo and accordion. George also enjoyed reading, being outdoors and working with his hands whether woodworking, painting or building his own homes.
Though finally reunited with his cherished Ellen, Dad will be greatly missed. And to those left behind, he would surely say,
“Lang mae yer lum reek”
