Bill went peacefully from Community Nursing Home in Port Perry on Thursday March 29, 2007, at age 85, to join his beloved son Jack who went to be with Jesus in October 2005. A TTC operator out of Eglinton Division for 37 years Bill will always be remembered for his wonderful wit and gentle spirit. An avid sports fan he loved his Leafs and Jays. He was the life of any gathering. Anyone who knew him loved him. Bill personified the terms gentleman, integrity and honesty. Bill will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered, by all who knew him; especially Dorothy, his loving wife of 64 years, son Ron and his wife Lois, daughter-in-law Aileen Moore; grandchildren David, Paula, Brian, Paul, Maria and Heather. He also leaves great grandchildren Justin, Colin, Bailey and Jonathon a noble legacy to live up to. The world is a sadder place today, and heaven richer. Dad is with Jesus. John 3:16. Mary Mona Brown, formerly Barnett, nee Mc Gregor, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at 91 years of age, on Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. She was the daughter of Alex and Mary McGregor (nee Matthews). She was predeceased by her husbands Jack Barnett and George Brown. She was an independent and strong woman who overcame many challenges in her life. She will be remembered fondly as a loving sister by Thelma, a devoted mother by John (Marion), a doting grandmother by Cindy (Tom) and Katie (Jeff), an adoring great grandmother by Bailey, Reilly, Carleigh and Colton, and a fond aunt by Sally and Murray and family. Mary was a kind and generous friend to many. A memorial service to celebrate her life was held on Saturday, March 31 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
