Passed too early after a brief battle with cancer, in Port Perry on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the age of 40. Loved and remembered by his wife and best friend Kim Norton. Dearly loved by his father Norman Watson and the late Katherine Watson. Left broken hearted is his brother Roger and wife Vicky. Uncle Chris with his strong encouragement will be missed deeply by Jillian and Joshua Watson. Survived by husband Michael; predeceased by parents Gordon and Margaret, and brother Alan. To be interred at Uxbridge cemetery. Acacia, Rev. Dr. Mario
Rev. Dr. Mario Acacia was called home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 11, 2007. Mario was lovingly cared for by his wife, Jacy, during his final years. He died peacefully in his sleep in his 83rd year. During the early years of his ministry, Mario pastored in Italy and Switzerland. In Canada, Mario served as the Senior Pastor at Dufferin Street Baptist Church from 1968 to 1977. He later served as Minister to Embassy Personnel with the Southern Baptist North American Mission Board, ministering to diplomats and internationals in Washington, D.C. from 1979 until his retirement in 1989. Mario is survived by his six children from a previous marriage, and nine grandchildren. Visitation was held at Uxbridge Baptist Church, 231 Brock St. W. Haddock, James (Terry) Edward
With great sadness the family of James (Terry) Edward Haddock announces his passing on March 8th, 2007. Terry was predeceased by his parents Jack and Lucy, and his brothers Roy and Jack. A great and loving father to Terry Jr., Debbie, Katherine and John (Diane). A cherished grandfather to Joseph, Joshua, Mark and Matthew and his special angel Aimee’. He will be sadly missed by his companion of many years Mary and by his sister Doreen (Richard), his brother Art (Liz) and sister-in-laws Ruth and Molly. Nephews and nieces held a special place in Terry’s heart. His many friends, close neighbours and business associates will hold his memory forever. Founder of Mr. Billiard International Inc. and the Canadian Open, he was also proudly involved in the International Snooker League (ISL) for many years. He loved his boat and genuinely enjoyed everyone that contributed to its “great times” We all can certainly see him sitting at his picnic bench with his loyal dog Dakota and undoubtedly the Executive Docks at Crates Marina will never be the same without Terry. Boating was a passion and one of his favorite past times along with piloting his plane and frequent travels to Great Britain. Visitation was held at the Low & Low Funeral Home in Uxbridge Monday and Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church in Uxbridge (#20 First Avenue).
