Lomas, Barbara Jean

Barbara Jean Lomas who was born on June 12, 1940 quietly passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto on June 25, 2007. She is survived by her partner Ken Spears, her children – Tammy and husband Eric; Doug and wife Traci; and Blake and wife Jan. Granny will be lovingly remembered by her grandsons: Kelan, Dever and Jared. Granny’s crazy smile and her talent with cooking, baking and pickling will forever be in our memory. In Barbara’s memory, donations may be made to the Hospital For Sick Children, or to a charity of choice would be appreciated.

Noble, Lilyan W., (Nee: Barber)

Peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on June 26, 2007. Long time resident of Reach Street, Uxbridge. Beloved wife of the late Emmet Harrison Noble (Indiana). Sister of the late Evelyn, Harold and Ralph Barber, Survived by her sister-in-law Ethel Barber. Nieces, Lorna Ware, Susanne McLeod, Nephews Gary, Peter and Jim Barber, Great Nephews, Bradley and Jeffrey Ware. Cremation, no funeral, at Lilyan’s request. Arrangements through Low & Low, Uxbridge. Donations in Lilyan’s memory to Uxbridge Cottage Hospital would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to sincerely thank Al Taylor, Oshawa; Gloria Snoddon, Marian Jordan, and Dr. Brian St. John, Uxbridge; Buckingham Manor Staff, Stouffville, the Palliative Care Unit staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital, And Dr. Carter Thorne, Newmarket. With your help over many years, Lilyan was able to stay in her home and survive to the age of 96, as did Evelyn (2002). This was her final wish.

Ausman, Genevieve (Jenny)

passed away after a brave battle with cancer at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry on Monday June 25, 2007 at the age of 67. Jenny Ausman dearly beloved wife of George Ausman of Prince Albert. Loving mother of Kevin and his wife Amanda Ausman, Jason and his wife Denise Ausman, Carol and her husband Todd Falkenham and predeceased by her son Jonathon. Dear grandmother of Jeffery, Rochelle, Robbie, Meaghan, Matthew, Christopher and Hayden. Dear sister of Ann of Huntsville, Bert of Oshawa and Reg of Australia. Jenny will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and a good friend Keith of Oshawa. Family and friends may call at the Low and Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905) 985-7331 on Friday June 29, 2007 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jenny Ausman will be held in the chapel on Friday June 29, 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment Groveside cemetery , Brooklin. Memorial donations to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre would be appreciated.

Moore, Florence Patricia (nee: Hubbard)
April 24, 1923 – June 15, 2007

With her family and friends by her side, it is will profound sadness Flo’s loving family announce her sudden but peaceful passing, at Ross Memorial Hospital. Beloved wife of the late “great handsome Jimmy Moore”. Loving mother of Donald (deceased), Marian and Larry (favourite son-in-law) Read and Barbara. Proud of her precious granddaughters Deanna and Daniela. Will be sadly missed by her “special little boy” Dawson. Dear sister of Fred, predeceased by her parents John and Lillian, and brother Robert. Flo will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives. Our Florence, Flo, Furnace, Mom, Ma and Nanna, will remain in our hearts always and this….”Flo Knows”. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Chayer, and the doctors and nurses of Ross Memorial Hospital Emergency and Palliative Care Units. Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905) 985-7331 for visitation on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Service was held on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

MacNaughton, Don

Our precious husband, father, grandfather, teacher, role model, friend, traveler, scholar, craftsman, and gardener joined the Lord in glory on June 15, 2007 in his 81st year. The prayers of God’s people sustained Don and his family through the medical challenges of the past year. Dearly missed by wife, Carol, daughter, Heather (Jeff), daughter, Bonnie (Russ), son, Rob (Tracey) and nine beloved grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 p.m. until service time at Eastridge Evangelical Missionary Church in Stouffville. Memorial donations may be made to Precious Minds or G.R.I.D.

Coyle, Teresa Bridget

Peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge. In her 91st year. Succumbed to a prolonged battle due to ill health. Predeceased by her loving husband and soul mate Michael Joseph whom she longed to join. Survived by her loving children. Patricia (Charles) Hamilton, Mary Jane (Jerry) Janssen, Joe (Mimi) Coyle, Mick (Isobel) Coyle, Kevin (Sonia) Coyle, predeceased by children Marie Baker, Paul, Billy and Cathy. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren. Shane, Cathy, Daryl, Michael, Jennifer, Christopher, Joseph Jr., Joshua, Alex, Adam, Tiffany, Paul Jr., and predeceased by Tara Baker. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary Merrick, sister Mahala (Frank) Gallagher, brother Basil (Ruby) Merrick, and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home Uxbridge 23 Main Street south (905) 852-3073 on Sunday, June 17, 2007 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Mass to celebrate Teresa’s life was held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (70 Toronto St. North) on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Sacred Heart cemetery. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Special thanks to mom’s caregivers from Cedar Brook Lodge and Versa Care Centre Uxbridge who always managed to put a smile on her face.

Yeomanson, Earl

passed away after a lengthy illness at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa on Friday June 15, 2007 in his 70th year. Eral Yeomanson dearly beloved husband of Ferne Yeomanson of Oshawa. Loving father of Paul, Roy (Beth), Brian (Crystal) and predeceased by Michael. Dear grandfather of Sonya, Joseph, Brittany, Brandon and great grandfather of Ashley. Loving son of Otto Yeomanson and predeceased by his mother Viola. Brother of Yvonne, Doreen, Ethel and predeceased by his brothers Fred and Glen. Earl will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends called at the Low and Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach St., Port Perry (905) 985-7331 on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Earl Yeomanson was held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1p.m. Memorial donations to the Hospital For Sick Children Foundation would be appreciated.

Dodd, Samuel

passed away peacefully at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Maureen. Loving father of Sheila (Steve) Fernley, Linda (Mike) Roman, and Sam (Roni Sue) Dodd. Loving grandpa of Niki, Cal, Zack, Kyle, Samantha, Olivia, Anthony and Elysia. Family and friends called at the Low and Low Funeral Home Uxbridge on Saturday, June 16, 2007 for visitation from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation or to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

Somogyi, Irmgard

passed away at Lakeridge Health in Whitby on Thursday June 7, 2007. Irma Somogyi wife of the late Imre Somogyi. Loving sister of Rudy and his wife Lydia Gobkes and predeceased by her brother Kurt Gobkes. She will be sadly missed by her sister in law Edith Gobkes and her 6 nieces and nephews and their families. At the request of Irma no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations in memory of Irma could be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry. Stiner, Robert

passed away peacefully at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Friday, June 1, 2007, in his 75th year. Loving son of the late Forrest and Alice Stiner. Survived by his sisters Josephine James, Grace Leney, Margaret Wood, sisters-in-law Georgina Stiner, Luella Stiner and Helen Stiner, and brother-in-law Walter James and predeceased by sisters Millie Middleton and Eva Murphy and brothers Jack Stiner, Bill Stiner and Hilliard Stiner. Cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 for visitation on Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service was held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 65 Toronto Street South, Uxbridge on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Uxbridge cemetery. In Robert’s memory, memorial donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children.
