SMYCNUIK, Stanley “Stan” -
passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 13th, 2003 at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Stan was born and educated in Ituna, Saskatchewan. After farming for several years he moved to Oshawa where he worked for Duplate for 20 years and then was a Canada Post letter carrier until he retired. After retirement he continued to do endless volunteer work at St. George’s Catholic Church. He was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #43 and the St. George’s Ukrainian Men’s Association. He unselfishly gave of his time, energy and love to all those around him, he sought only the happiness of others. Stan is survived by his loving wife Rose of 55 years and two children Delores (Ron) Gallagher and Dennis and one grandson Ryan. He is mourned by brother Nester (Natalie) of Scarborough, sisters Anne of Saskatoon, Kay of Mississauga, Natalie of Toronto, Martha of Ituna, Sister Florentine S.S.M.I. of Winnipeg, Helen of Toronto, Lil (Joe) of Calgary.
