Peacefully at Lakeshore Lodge on Friday, September 19, 2003 at age 92. Art, beloved husband for 61 years of Irene Emily (nee Hayes). Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a service at 3 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre on Saturday, September 20, 2003, Maurice, late of New Toronto. Dear husband of the late Dorothy (1999). Loving father to Marilyn. Robert Wilfred Jones
Peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2003, Bob, beloved husband of Jeanne. Loving father to Janice Dnes (Myron), Cyndi Thomson (Dick) and son Brian. Bob will be greatly missed by Linda and Brian Gee. Dear Papa to Emily, Carly, Jamie Lee, Kathryn, Holly, Nicole and Natalie. Brother to Herb (Jo). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and his devoted dog Heidi. Visiting at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a service at 3 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations made to the Canadian Canoe Museum (1-866-34-CANOE) would be appreciated by the family. A special thanks to the staff of Etobicoke General Hospital.

Rita Ongaro (nee Pavan)
Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Toronto Grace Hospital on September 30, 2003 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late John Ongaro. Loving mother of Dan (Lynda), John (Veronica), David (Linda) and Mary. Nonnie will be missed dearly by grandchildren Katie, Jennifer, Stephanie, Thomas, Jane, Cheryl, Justin and Andrea. Predeceased by her sisters Irma and Norma and her brother Ugo. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. Ambrose Catholic Church (782 Browns Line). Interment St. Mary's cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Blondal and the nursing staff of the 6th floor at St. Joseph's Health Centre and the compassionate care of the nursing staff of the 6th floor at Toronto Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation - Palliative and Supportive Care Services, Toronto Grace Palliative Care Unit, The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

John Charles Gibson
passed away on August 7, 2003 peacefully at the age of 65. He is survived by his brothers Stewart and Lyle. He will be sadly missed by his many friends at the “Skyline Club”. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 2 pm in the chapel.

Peter Hawryshkewich
On Friday, August 8, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Peter, beloved husband of Nina. Loving father of Wolodymyr and his wife Nadia and Roman and his wife Ann-Marie. Peter will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Andrew and Natalie and his many family and friends in the Ukraine. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Panakhyda in the funeral home at 7 p.m. The Orthodox Rite of Funeral will take place in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment St. Volodymyr Ukrainian cemetery , Oakville. Donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Eileen Edith Costron
Longtime resident of Long Branch and Mimico, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on August 12th, 2003 at The Village of Erin Meadows in her 81st year. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Terry (Theresa) and son-in-law Doug Clark. Dear grandmother of Meghann, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Tara. She is also survived by her son Richard and his wife Karen and grandchildren Derek and Laura. Predeceased by her husband George and brothers Jack, Robert (Bob) and Llewellyn (Bud) Scriver and sisters Rona Crabb, Jean Croft and sister-in-law Audrey Scriver. She will be fondly remembered by her cherished friend Hilda Olexy, many dear nieces and nephews, relatives in Regina, Saskatchewan and friends at Sunrise Assisted Living in Mississauga. A special thank you to all the staff at Erin Meadows for their compassionate care and support during her last few days. Resting at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 7 p.m. Cremation. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sleeping Children Around the World would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Richard T. Rauth
Suddenly at the age of 70 while on vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada. Richard passed away on Monday, August 11, 2003. Beloved husband of Helga for 41 years. Devoted father to Raymund and his wife Shirley, Stefanie and her husband Lloyd and Patricia and her husband Howard. Loving Opa to Raymond, Christa, Erik and Lucas. Survived by his mother-in-law Frida. Dear son of the late Josef and the late Stefanie and dear brother to the late Siegfried. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters especially Walter, Adolf and Hedwig. He leaves many beloved nieces and nephews behind. He will be sadly missed by his friend and brother-in-law Gunther and his wife Lilo and his many friends, special friends from the Musket and dear friends Herman, Trudy and Jeanette. He will be dearly missed by Anna and will be reunited with his best friend, the late Al Paquette. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Pat Carr
Peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, August 15, 2003 at the age of 78. she will be forever loved by her close companion Leslie Geobey. Loving mother of Hazel (Gary), Marion (Corky), Don (Barbara), Ken (Nadine), and Trish (Don). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday at 11am in the chapel of Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705). Donations may be made to the Ian Anderson House and the family would also appreciate having trees planted in memory of Pat Carr.

Nikanor (Nick) Babij
passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday, August 17, 2003 at Sts. Peter and Paul Residences at the age of 80. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him. On Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Trillium Heath Centre – Mississauga Site, Alicia Mykietiak dearly beloved wife of the late William and loving mother of Debbie, Cindy, Dan and his wife Louisa. Dear grandmother of Amanda, Melissa and stepgrandmother of Maria, Rocco, and Tony. Dear sister of Ken and Jackie Gerard, Dorothy Firth and the late Laurena Dunn. Remembered by her best friend and cousin Vera Topper. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W.
