GORDANEER, Gladys May - passed away peacefully at Tyndall Nursing Home, Mississauga on December 22, 2007. Gladys, beloved wife of the late Delbert. Sadly missed by loved sons Gary and Glen (Elizabeth). Cherished grandmother of Tim. Dear sister-in-law of Helen (Ken) and Norma (Mac). Mrs. Gordaneer is resting at Scott Funeral Home, 420 Dundas St. East, Mississauga (one block west of Cawthra Rd.) 905-272-4040 for visitation on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Friday morning, December 28, 2007 in the funeral home at 11 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

GORECKI, Wladyslaw - Peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, December 21, 2007 at St. Joseph's Health Centre at age 90. Beloved husband of Aniela. Loving father of Irene Williams and Teresa Jurkiewicz. Proud grandpa of Dominic Williams and Michael Jurkiewicz. Wladyslaw will be fondly remembered by all of his family and friends. On Tuesday, September 25, 2007. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Robert Paul Godfrey, former CFTR radio personality, program director and CITY TV host, at 61 years of age. Survived and loved by his wife Julia, cherished father of Levon Godfrey of Toronto, and Shannon O'Connor of Woodstock. A memorial service will be held in celebration of his life at the Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Road, London, on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow at The Hilton, King St., London. Memorial donations can be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Loving mother of Dianne and her husband Wayne Marcks, and David and his wife Luce. Cherished Nana to Steven and his wife Nicole, and Heather. Great-Gramma to Jesse and Tressa. Dorothy will be missed by her sisters Helen, Florence, Audrey and Margaret and brothers Edward and Norman. Private family service. Resting at the PAUL O'CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Warden and Pharmacy), from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Service in our Chapel on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. Interment Pine Hills cemetery.

Beloved mother of Elaine (Mark) Persichilli, Denise (Brad) Upritchard, and Leesa (Ben) Scholten. Cherished granny of Kellie, Stephen, Michael, Stephanie, and Aidan. Great-granny of Christopher. Loving father of Judith, Steven and his wife Anne Ashton, and Cynthia Smalbill. Predeceased by son-in-law John Lau. Dear grandfather of 7 grandchildren. WILEY, Douglas

WILEY, Douglas Rowe - August 15, 1921 - November 3, 2007 He looked Death square in the face with an inner smile and a peaceful gaze; and that is a warrior, our father Douglas R. Wiley, Flight Lieutenant Officer D.F.C. Peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital K Wing with his family at his side. Douglas will be sadly missed by his children Douglas Jr. (Sharon), Betty-Anne Folkard, Donald, Matthew, Mary Louise Brouwer (Leendert), Jennifer Stevenson (David) and is predeceased by his beloved son John (Catherine). He was a loved grandfather of eleven, a great-grandfather of one and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. Among cherished family memories, his family takes pride in remembering Douglas for serving our country as a decorated World War II Veteran, as part of the RCAF 431 and 429 Squadrons. He spent his career in the investment business serving for a time as a divisional Vice-President at Greenshields Inc., retiring in 1991. Douglas is predeceased by his beloved brothers John, Bud, Alan, David and sister Barbara. He is survived by his youngest brother Gordon. Much thanks to the very loving and caring staff of L Wing and K2 West at Sunnybrook who carry on the legacy of our veterans through their ultimate respect of the residents they care for daily. Services are to be celebrated at 11 o'clock on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at SUNNYBROOK HEALTH SCIENCES CENTRE, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto in the Chapel (H Wing). A reception will follow. Son-in-law of Kim and Stewart Martin. Robert will be missed by his business associates, friends and all his special buddies at Cherry Downs and Malvern Contracts and installers. The Wolfman will be sadly missed for his endless array of jokes, charm and sarcastic humour. He loved to eat, golf, gamble, work and play. McCRAE, Armour Livingstone

ARMOUR LIVINGSTONE M c CRAE Mayor, City of Welland, Ontario 1953 - 1958 Passed away, on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Toronto, in his 91st year. Armour is survived by his beloved wife Heather (nee Montgomery), and his two loving sons and their families: Armour and Eydie McCrae of Guelph and granddaughter Cara (Mike); James McCrae of Barrie, daughter-in-law Brooke McCrae and grandson Jamie of Brampton; and by his two loving daughters and their families: Wendy and Bruce Dunning of Newmarket and granddaughters Abbey and Rebecca; and Donna Creighton of Toronto; and by his daughter-in-law Margaret McCrae and granddaughter Jessica. Predeceased by his cherished first wife Jessie King (Mains) McCrae, and by his son Nichol. Son of the late Nichol and Emily McCrae of Welland, dear brother of Margaret McCrae Moro and Rudy Moro of London. Predeceased by brothers Alex, James and Charles. Of all positions aspired to or later achieved, being Mayor of the City of Welland was always first and foremost in his heart, and the one for which he wishes most to be remembered. Elected President of the then Association of Ontario Mayors and Reeves 1956-57. In 1958, as Mayor he presided over the centennial celebrations of the city, and in that same year was the first to be honoured in receiving the Citizen of the Year Award for Welland-Crowland. He was invited by the Queen to attend her Coronation at Westminster Abbey, and was the recipient of the coronation medal. A well-known after-dinner and convention speaker, he addressed the British Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in Belfast, Ireland in 1953. On two occasions he was the speaker representing Canada (France and the United States also being represented) at the Annual Flag Day Celebration at Old Fort Niagara, Youngstown, NY, USA. Armour always promoted a better understanding between English and French-speaking Canada, and to that end, was instrumental in "twinning" the city of Welland with the Qu�bec city of Sorel. Member and Vice-Chairman of the Ontario Municipal Board 1958-83; seconded from the Board to be Chief Hearing Officer for the Parkway Belt West hearings in 1976, and seconded again to be Chief Hearing Officer for the Niagara Escarpment Plan hearings from 1980-83. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service will be held at Willowdale Presbyterian Church (38 Ellerslie Avenue), on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 11 o'clock. Private family interment at Westminster cemetery.
