(Petty Officer in the Navy during WWII, stationed in St. John's, Newfoundland) Peacefully in his sleep on October 1, 2003 at Villages of Winston Park Retirement Home - Kitchener at the age of 89. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy Smith. Loving father to Bill and his wife Erica of Hamilton, Bob and his wife Joanne of Kitchener, Debbie Andres and her husband Doug of Oakville. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Lisa, Melanie, Kim, Michelle, Stacy, Danielle, Mac and 4 great-grandchildren. Peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 13, 2003 at Etobicoke General Hospital at the age of 90. Tine left Slovenija as a young man for Karnten, Austria. He immigrated to Canada where he lived a full and content life with his family. He will be missed by his wife Frances, daughters Maria (John) Ponikvar, Frances (Bill) Ramsay and son Tim (Colleen) and grandchildren Alexandra and Michael Ponikvar and Cameron Ramsay. Cherished sister to Margaret Pompilio of Brampton, dear sister-in-law to Rose Santagato of Aurora and close friend to Jerry Kiviluoma of Etobicoke. Sadly missed by her nephews Kenny Kinchen, John Pompilio and great-nephew Tim Dwyer. Veta’s smile and laughter will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Suddenly on Friday, October 24, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Andrew, beloved husband of 53 years of Ursula Zelasko. Loving father of John and his wife Susan, Henry and his partner Roberta Smith, and Diana McKiel. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jeroemie and Justin McKiel. Andrew is survived by his sisters Karola Borkowski and Janka Zelasko and his brother Edek. He is predeceased by his brother Kazimir Zelasko.
