Serena Agueci
After a brief illness on July 21, 2004. In her 85th year at the Trillium Health Centre. Beloved wife to the late Domenic, loving mother to the late Tina (Milt), Donna (Roger), Linda (John), Joe (MaryAnn) and Lorie (Gary), Grandma to 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her brother Spike and the late Tony. Serena will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral mass on Monday 10 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Interment Springcreek cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Regina Lee
Peacefully after a courageous battle with an extensive illness on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Regina will be sadly missed by her loving husband Fredrick of 47 years. Loving sister of Ed and his wife Viola Gawronski and predeceased by her sisters Mary and her husband Frank Swider and Anne and her husband Joe Radko. Loving Aunt to Patti, Philip, Gail and great aunt of Kristen, Lindsay and Jacob. Regina is survived by her sister-in-laws Hazel Lee, Doreen Roulson and Joyce O’Reilly. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral mass on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Catholic Church (Tenth Street) Interment Mt. Hope cemetery , Toronto. Donations to St. Joseph’s Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.

Ewhen (Eugene) Chreptak
On Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Born in Lviv, Ukraine on May 27, 1913. Beloved husband of Mary. Dear father to Steve and his wife Anna and Jerry and his wife Wendi. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416 -259-3705) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 182 Sixth St., Toronto on Wednesday, July 28 at 10 a.m. Panachyda Tuesday at 7 p.m. Interment St. John’s Dixie cemetery , Mississauga.

Christine Davis (nee Reid)
After a brave battle with cancer on Sunday, July 25th, 2004 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon, adored mother of Arthur and step-daughter Linda (Joe), cherished aunt of Dale (Doug) and Reid (Brenda) and dear sister of the late Bill Reid and Phyllis Kinnear. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2004 at The Wenleigh Long Term Care Centre. Loving husband of the late Edith. Beloved father of Judy (Ron) and John (Susan). Cherished grandfather of Michael (Christina), Catharine (Richard), Christopher & Kevin. Great grandfather of Daniel & Joshua. Dear brother of Doris Jarrett of Fergus. Rick Savage
passed away suddenly on July 29, 2004 in Mississauga at the age of 51. He will be deeply missed by his wife Karen. Beloved father to Andrew, Christopher and Katherine. Survived by his parents Victor and Beth, sister Karen and her husband Gord, nieces Joanne, Jenny and great nephew Logan. Rick will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens.

Joseph Stemmler
( Born in 1920; W.W. II Veteran R.C.A.F. Squadron 407; 38 year employee of Sangamo Electric.) passed away peacefully at Lakeshore Lodge on Friday, July 30, 2004. Loving husband of Laurette. Beloved father of Dave, Danny and his wife Elena, Lorraine and her husband Mike Ireland and Neil. Cherished grandfather of Debbie, Brian, Kevin, Sarah, Doug, Julie and Laura. Joseph is survived by his brother Albert and his sister Therese. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.

James Wright
Peacefully on June 4, 2004 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Josephine for 63 years. Dearly loved father of Jim (Eileen), Jeffrey (Bea), Joan (Don), June (Walter), John (Lulu), and Janet (Levi). Special grandfather to Ken, Daniel, Tom, Scott, Mark, Jason, Albert, Kimberlea, Edward, Jamie, Levi and Jaclyn. Very special great-grandfather to Jacob, Avery, Cassidy, Marissa and Bradley. Jim served his country in the Air Force. He enjoyed many hours of flying as a bush pilot. He worked for Ontario Hydro and Consumers Gas. He was a long standing member of St. Matthews Church, Islington. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed many years of camping in Camper’s camper. He was a wonderful family man and he fought the good fight. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church (3962 Bloor St. W., Islington) on Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 2 pm.

On Monday, June 7, 2004 at the McCall Centre. Paulo, a long time member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Paulo will be sadly missed by his many friends. Elsie M. Garner
Peacefully at Erin Mills Lodge, Mississauga on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in her 95th year. (Faithful lifelong member of St. Margaret's Anglican Church, New Toronto; longtime resident and business owner on the Lakeshore). Dear loving wife of the late Arthur Alfred "Art" Garner (2002). Dearly loved mother of Shirley Roberts and husband Douglas of Oshawa, James Garner and wife Donna of Mississauga, Alan Garner and wife Helen of Mississauga and Margery (Midge) Young of Ancaster. Loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Jack McLaughlin. Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Grace McLaughlin and Alice Sarginson. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in the Chapel Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Park Lawn cemetery. Eileen Smith
After a brief battle with cancer, Eileen Smith passed away at home on Tuesday, June 15th 2004, attended by her daughters, Judith and Beth. She is survived by her two daughters, her grandchildren Jessica, Victoria and Alexandra, her sister Charlotte and her brothers John and Archie. At her request, a cremation has already been conducted. Visitation will be held at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday, June 24th at 11:00 am. A Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Our most sincere thanks go to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, the Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre, the Etobicoke CCAC, and Storefront Humber for all their care and concern.

Jean Helen Lobb
(Long time resident of Long Branch). passed away in her daughter's arms on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at St. Joseph's Health Centre, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Victor, son Tom and brother Andrew. Survived by her daughter Linda Chiasson and her husband Michael of Horning's Mills, Ontario, grandchildren Patric of Horning's Mills, Mark, Stacey, and Mindi and great-grandchildren Deanna, Ryan, Emily and Amelia and daughter-in-law Marguerite, all of Baltimore, Maryland. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. John Dylan Guitar
Suddenly our precious baby boy died on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the tender age of 4 months. Our little man will be lovingly remembered by his Mommy and Daddy, Yolanda and John. Cute baby brother to Emily and Rebecca. Nana Mary Ann and Flo’s little Sweetums. Loving nephew to Edgar, Diane (Dave). He will be greatly missed by his special friends Dianna and Dave.
