Andrew Henry (Slim) Zwolak
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew on March 12, 2004 at Lakeshore Lodge at the age of 85. Beloved husband to Mary for 58 years. Loving father to Valerie (Ron), Virginia (Jim), Patricia (Jim) and Donna. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kathy, James, Jilian, Meredith and great grandchildren Jessica, Jacob, Sydney and Alexander. Survived by his brother Paul of Winnipeg. Slim was a Veteran of WWII with the Irish Regiment, an all around athlete, coach to many youngsters in the community, an enthusiastic gardener, nature lover, woodworker, animal lover, beautiful dancer, amazing singer, had a marvellous sense of humor and was well loved and highly regarded by all who knew him. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation. If desired, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Helen Marion Boggiss
passed away peacefully at home, after a lengthy illness, with her family by her side, on March 16, 2004, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of James for 53 years. Loving mother to David and his wife Janis, Margaret and her husband Martin, Ruth and her husband Ron, Mary and her husband Wade and predeceased by her daughter Darlene. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Mark, Lindsay, Stephanie, James, Kyle, Graeme, Patrick and great grandchildren Jayden and Griffin. Survived by her brother George and his wife Jess. Helen was a 35 year member of the 48th Highlanders Chapter I.O.D.E. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Charitable Corporation, Dialysis Unit.

David McDonald
In his 93rd year, dear father of Margaret, joined his loving wife Agnes who was called away from him on June 21st, 1993. Dearly loved by his adopted family June, son Chris and the late Ed Herkner of Etobicoke. He will also be joining his sisters Maggie, Jeannie, Hanna and brother Tommy. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Prospect cemetery. Donations to the Mary C. Holdsworth Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.

Gordon Douglas MacDonald
After a valiant battle with cancer, Gordon Douglas MacDonald passed away peacefully at the McCall Centre on March 22, 2004. Born June 24, 1938 in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, son of late Donald and Esther (Thorbourne) MacDonald. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joan (Armstrong). Susanne and John Fata (Michelle) will continue to exemplify his legacy. Sierra and Nicholas will dearly miss their Grampie Gord. Survived by his sisters Carole (Leo Sampson) of Liverpool, Nova Scotia and Donna (Gordon Dumphy) of Toronto and their families. He was predeceased by his sister Louise. His friends, especially fellow card players, car enthusiasts and conversationalists, will remember him fondly. A special thanks to both the incredible oncology staff at Peel Memorial Hospital and the caring staff at the McCall Centre. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Eileen Jones (nee Johnstone)
On Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Raymond (52 years of love). Cherished mother of six daughters; Sharon (Martin) Swarts, Gloria (Ernie) Warner, Rae Eileen (Peter) So, Dianne (Harold) Wood, Donna (Tom) Reid, Brenda (Dan) Andringa. Will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Ken, Rob, William, Bruce, David, Raymond, Sabrina, Fred, Scott, Danielle and Alex. Survived by her siblings Davey Johnstone and Wilma (Bruce) Balmer. Sadly missed by special friends Ella, Marie, Edna and Sandra. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Complete service in the chapel Saturday at 1 p.m. Cremation. The family would appreciate donations to the Lung Association, Charles H. Best Diabetes Centre or the Arthritis Association.

Teresa Rozalia Folka
On Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Dear loving wife to Edward and dear loving mother to Margaret Bienek and her husband Edward. John Bernard Kelly
passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Loving father to John W. Kelly. John had a rough exterior but a kind heart. Cremation. Ridley Funeral Home.

William Russell (Bill) Steeley
On Sunday, March 28, 2004 at his home, Bill, dear brother to Joan Turnbull (Buzz) of Kitchener, June March of Toronto and Harold (Carroll) of Milton. Dear uncle to Stephanie McLean (Jim) and Deborah and great uncle to two. Also sadly missed by his best friend Peter and his family. William Patterson
Peacefully on Wednesday, December 7th, 2005 at Leisureworld in Brampton. William, beloved husband of the late Imelda (nee Conway). Loving father of Madonna McCalla and her husband Rick, Virginia Patterson her husband Fred, Brian Patterson and his wife Carla, Doreen Price and her husband Dave, Michelle Patterson-Bruno and husband Joe and his son-in-law Jerome. Bill will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Mark, James, Jason, Kevin, Cindy, Dominic, Emily and his great grandchildren Joshua and Cheslee. He is survived by his brothers Mike, Bob, Jimmy, Jack and his sister Molly. Bill is predeceased by his daughter Debbie Lake. Evelyn Rose Arbour (nee Crossey)
At St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Sunday, December 11, 2005. Cherished mother to Kathryn Hill, Patricia Pipher, John Arbour (Karen), Kevin Arbour (Cathy), Debra Peters (Rick) and Karen Arbour (Bruce). Adored grandmother to David, Jacqueline, Samantha, Kristine, Allison, Jason, Christopher, Michael, Kaitlin and Sarah and great grandmother to Hailey. Sister to Jack Crossey, Pat Millette (Richard), Norah Needham, Marie Thimm (Ed), Maureen Brown and Joe Crossey (Gloria). Survived by many other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Patrick and Evelyn Crossey, and brothers Des and Ted. She will be forever missed. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Suddenly at Humber River Regional Hospital Church Site on Wednesday, December 14th, 2005. Roman, beloved husband of Barbara. Roman will be sadly missed by his children Robert, Kathy and her family.
