Ann Andreychuk
Suddenly on October 23, 2005, with her family by her side, at Toronto Western Hospital, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband John. Loving mother to Marion and her husband Edward Sodoski, Robert, John Jr., Richard and his wife Donna. She will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren and 9great-grandchildren. Ann was a member of the Franklin Horner Senior Centre and will be missed by all her card playing friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Sanctuary Park cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Armena Jeannette Downey (nee DeCaire)
Peacefully with her family by her side, on October 24, 2005, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Carl, son Billy and daughter Joan. Loving mother to Ken (Helen), Bobby (Margaret), Carolyn (Jim), Alan (Raymonde/Margaret). She will be sadly missed by her 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Survived by her brother Edward (Cecile) and predeceased by her brothers Wilfrid, Herbert, Edmond, Liager; sisters Stephanie, Emily, Cecilia and Verna. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (Prayers Friday evening at 8 p.m.). A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Catholic Church. Interment St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Maria Karolina Jereb (nee Mrak)
passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family at home on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband Louis. Loving mother of Anne, John, and Mark. We will cherish your love and hold your spirit in our hearts forever. She is survived by her three sisters Ann, Ivanka, and Cilka. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 3 to 5 pm & 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 11 am from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church (739 Brown’s Line). Interment Mount Peace cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Slovenian Apostolic Circle, 739 Brown’s Line, Toronto, ON M8W 3V7 would be appreciated by the family.

Joseph Jamnik (J.J. Aluminum)
Peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2005, Joseph Jamnik, late of Mississauga. Beloved husband of Maria and loving father of John (Josephine) and Jane. Grandfather of Joseph, Andrew, Matthew and Rebecca Jamnik. He will be sadly missed by his sister Milka Kastelic and family of Hamilton. Joseph will be fondly remembered by his family and friends in Canada and Slovenija. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Peter Balaura
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Peter on Friday, September 2, 2005 at his home after a lengthy illness, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Jennie. Cherished son of Donna and the late Harry. He will be dearly missed by his son Andy and daughter Nadia (Paul) Zmiyiwsky; and grandchildren Basil and Luke. Much loved brother of Alex (Alexandra); and niece Marianne (Kiarash) and nephews Terry (Sharla) and Adrian. Brother-in-law of Carol (William) Michaluk and their children Katherine and John. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #375. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. The Orthodox Rite of Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 am from St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Interment York cemetery. Donations may be made to York Central Hospital, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.

Alfred Robichaud
Peacefully on September 4, 2005 at Credit Valley Hospital at the age of 81. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Lattanzi). Loving mother of Gloria (Doug McBryde) of Georgetown, Joseph (Lynne) of Victoria British Columbia and Yvette (Dave Donaldson) of Burlington. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Russell Rowe, Corey Bland, Travis Robichaud, Cale Robichaud, Cody Robichaud and great grandson Jacob (Jake) Rowe. Survived by his brother Edward and sisters Yvonne, Elaine and predeceased by his brother Earl and sister Cecile. Cremation has taken place. Ridley Funeral Home, 416-259-3705.

Jean Shushelnisky (nee Snatenchuk)
In her 97th year, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Fergus, Ontario on September 17, 2005 at the age of 96. Loved wife of the late Richard (Dick) Shushelnisky. Beloved mother of Olga Rivett, Doris Moody, Ernest Sheldon and his wife Dolores, Walter Sheldon and his wife June. Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. William Howard Conners
(Retired from Molson’s Breweries after more than 30 years) Peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Rose. Loving father to Alan and his wife Donna. Cherished grandfather to Melissa. Dear brother to Ernie, Norma Fyffe, June McBurney, Pat, Blanche Meechim and her husband Lucky and predeceased by Alan and Kenneth. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also sadly missed by his “companions” Duchess, Baby and Minnie. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. ( Born in Bratislava, Slovakia on March 30, 1944) Died peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at 7:03 p.m. Dear husband of Bosena and father of Dusan Apfel Jr., both residing in Slovakia. Dear brother of Mirek and brother-in-law of Anna Vymyslicky and her husband Paul of Kitchener. Dearly loved friend of Diane Sedore and Willy Chadraba. Yvonne Chapman (nee St. Ours)
Peacefully on Monday August 7, 2006 at The Westbury Nursing Home. Wife of the late Donald Chapman and loving mother of Peter, Brian and Mary Ruth. Sadly missed by her devoted friends. Many thanks to the 8th floor staff of the Westbury Nursing Home for their kind and loving care. A private Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Ridley Funeral Home. Cremation with interment at St. Mary’s cemetery in Lindsay, Ontario.
