On Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga in his 64th year. Dearly beloved husband of Suzanne. Loving father to Dennis and his wife Valerie of Mississauga and the late Paul. Dear grandfather of Jessica. Survived by his mother Margaret and predeceased by his father Peter and step-father Harold. Also predeceased by his sister-in-law Pauline and remembered by his brothers-in-law Gilles, Marc, and Robert, nieces Nicole, Louise and Diane, nephew Rheal, great niece Stacey, and cousins Bonita, Jimmy, Ruthie, Wilfred and Eunice. Sadly missed by other family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment Assumption cemetery , Mississauga. If desired, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of their dad and grandpa peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, joining his beloved wife June. Armand Joseph Groulx
(1926 – 2006)
passed away Friday, April 14 at Erin Mills Lodge. Beloved husband of the late Muriel. Loving father of Linda, Bryan (Valerie), Garry (Lynda), Warren (Deanna), Muriel (Joseph). He will be greatly missed by his sisters Anita and Alice (Earl). Grandpa will also be remembered by his 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 18 at 2:00 pm at Mount Peace cemetery , 3204 Cawthra Rd. (south of Bloor St.), Mississauga. If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

John McGrath
At the age of 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, with his family by his side. Much loved husband to Aline. Loving dad to Gigi (Ted Deelstra), Adele (John Sato), and John (Alex Chow). Adored grandpa to Cory, Rachel, Jessica, Logan, Carolyn and Bradley. As per his wishes his body was cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or any other group of your choice would be greatly appreciated. As per his wishes, his body was cremated. Sophie Sawa
March 21, 1935 – April 15, 2006
Peacefully went to sleep on April 15, 2006, surrounded by her loving family and went to join her beloved husband, Gordon Sawa. Sophie was a cherished mother to Joanne (Steve) Langevin, Kim (Devin) Cleland, Kelvin, and Lisa (Mike) Quesnelle. Loving Baba (grandma) to Crystal, Kelly, Katrina, Ryan and Adele. Beloved sister to Mary, Eva, Helen and the late John, Nick, Thomas, Victor, Walter, Tony, Jesse and Lena. Sophie will be sadly missed by all her family and friends whose visits she cherished and whose lives she touched with her loving warmth, knowledge and energetic spirit. Sophie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Please remember Sophie by living life to the fullest and never look back with regret. Harold Aubrey File
(Co-founder and president of Dominion Contact Lens Laboratories) passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006, in his 94th year, at Toronto. Resident of Alderwood for 60 years. Predeceased by his beloved Margy. Survived by his dear brother Jim File. Predeceased by his sister Jean File. Dad will be remembered with love and respect by his children Denis File and Betty Jean and John Farran. Grampa is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Beth and Jim, Casey and Lisa, Laura and Rob and Jessie. Great Grampa of Cierra, Paige and Lachlan. Thank you Eunice for your compassionate care and thank you Jackie for your devotion and caring above and beyond the call of duty. David Hall Strachan
passed away peacefully, in his 87th year Friday April 8, 2005 at Peel Manor Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Florence with who he is now forever re-united. Cherished father of Diane McMerty and her husband Tom, son Philip and his wife Jan, grandchildren Dawn (Ken), Colleen (Rui), Laura and Drew, and great grandchildren aka “G.G.” to Paige, Madison and Brooke and unborn. He was warm, generous, loving and quick witted, he will be missed dearly by family and friends. The families would like to thank the nursing staff for their excellent care giving at Peel Manor…you will never be forgotten. Suddenly in Amsterdam, Holland, in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband, Willem van Oort, in 1978. Remembered with love by her children Elsje (and John) and Marjon.
