Suddenly on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at his home in his 71st year. Dear father to Rick (Yvonne), Ray, Jacki Kitson (George) and Ryan. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Callen, Cameron, Carly, Riley, Erica and Rory and his sister Joyce Thornhill (Albert). Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Complete service in the chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.

Zofia Marosek
Peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Trillium Health Centre. Zofia is predeceased by her husband Stefan. Loving mother of Stan and his wife Lorraine and Ann and her husband Mel Wingert. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Diane, Ursula and her husband Tad, Stanley, Mark and her great grandchildren Brandon, Cameron and Elizabeth. She is survived by her sisters Janina Lachowicz of the U.S.A. and Stefania Skrabut of Poland .Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Wendy Rita Yarranton (nee Holliday)
On Saturday, March 10, 2007, after a lengthy illness, peacefully at St. Michael's Hospital in her 58th year, survived by her husband John, daughter and son-in-law Samantha and Brian Oram, grand-kitty Mango and grand-puppy Coby, brother Wesley (Bonnie) Holliday, sisters Debbie (Ralph) Henderson and Dawn Finkle. She will be sadly missed her many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Wendy devoted 35 years to providing care as a Registered Nurse on the paediatric unit at St. Michael's Health Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph Health Centre Child Life Services Unit or to St. Margaret's Anglican Church. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held from St. Margaret's Anglican Church on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. There will be visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.

Michael Spendick
After a lengthy illness on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at William Osler Health Centre – Etobicoke Site at the age of 80. Dear husband of Helen. Beloved father of Daniel. Will be sadly missed by brothers Alexander (Helen), Steve (Nadia), and granddaughter Katrina. Fondly remembered by many family and friends. Maksa Zagar
Unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, surrounded by the love of her friends. Maksa’s now gone home to be with the Lord and join her beloved husband Mike. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Vera Zagar, Darinka Hrastar, Majda Podlogar and brothers-in-law Anton Zagar, Emile Zagar and their families, and her cousins Vladimir Vatovec, Lojze Magajna and their families. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 2 to 4pm & 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. Interment Assumption cemetery. A special thank you to the staff at Trillium Health Centre in Emergency, ICU & the 4th Floor for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, a Mass in Maksa’s memory would be appreciated.

Bernarda Padar
Surrounded by her family, it is with great sadness they announce the passing of a wife and mother on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the age of 60. She is survived by her loving husband Martin and her 3 caring children Martin Jr., Andrej and Helen. She will be missed by her adoring sisters Vida and Margaret and their families. She showed tremendous character throughout life and inspired many during her courageous battle. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. Cremation. John Wilson
passed away at the Trillium Health Centre Mississauga Site on Wednesday, March 21. John, loving husband of 64 years to Mildred. He will be sadly missed by his sons Wayne and his wife Kaye, Bob & his wife Gerri, his many family, friends and his son Bryan & his wife Margaret. A private family service was held at Ridley Funeral Home.

Leo “Poldo” Lister
Peacefully on Saturday, 31 March 2007 at Toronto Grace Hospital in his 84th year. Loving husband of Hedvika for 51 years. Dear Dad of Darinka (John) and Irma (Jean). Proud Grandpa/Nono of Mark, Jason, Tanya and Lindsay. Beloved brother of Joe in Australia and Slavka in Slovenija. Fondly remembered by many family and friends. Agnes Bernier
passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Centre-Mississauga on March 7, 2006 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Ken for 55 years. Loving mother of Brenda (Jack Salley), Joanne Hutchcraft (the Late Terry), Cynthia (Larry Stevens), Keith Bernier (June), Beverley (Randy Mulder) and Cathy Bernier. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Vincent (Jasmine), Christopher (Tanya), Bradley (Michelle), Tara (Kevin), Danielle (David), Adam, Stephanie, Brooks, Dillon, Mitchell, Robert, Michael, Alan and great grandchildren Tyriek, Devonte, Lucas, Ethan, Brianne, Riley, Bradley, Faith and Destiny. A special thank you to all the staff at the Trillium Health Centre for their care. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Dore (Ted) Kushar
On, March 7, 2006, Mr. Dore (Ted) Kushar of Oakville in his 91st year. Ted’s faith in God and love for his family guided him and gave him strength. Cherished and devoted husband of Mara. Loving father of John of Oakville and Dorce of Slovenia. He will be greatly missed by his grandsons Andre of Oakville, Bostjan, Mateja and Petra of Slovenia and his great grandchild Nika of Slovenia. Ted will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends here in Oakville and in Slovenia. Ted was born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He participated in the 1936 Olympics and was and avid mountain climber and skier in his beloved Slovenia. Ted and Mara moved to Canada in 1952 where he perfected his love of book-binding as a career. Ted made some lifetime friends in Collingwood where he continued to ski. He was blessed with a wonderful voice and sang in the choir at Marije Pomagaj (Our Lady Help of Christians) Church in Toronto. We will miss you terribly, but remember you are always in our hearts for the unique person you were. We love you. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. passed away peacefully at home in his sleep with his mother by his side on March 12, at the age of 35. Loving son of Pat Miller and Domonic Miller. He will be sadly missed by his sister Tracy and her husband Chris, nieces Alycia and Clairissa, the family dog Sasha and extended family and friends. passed away peacefully at Humber River Regional Hospital-Finch on March 12, 2006 at the age of 82. Loving father of Olga and her husband Peter Zurawel. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kathryn and Laura (Adrian). Peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2006 at Markham-Stouffville Hospital, Miro, beloved husband of Tilka. Dear loving father of Carol Rak (Michael) and Peter Rak (Irene). Dear grandfather of Mitchell, Nicole, Madeleine, Emma, Tess and Anna. Sadly missed by his sister Ani Zumer (late Frank) and his brothers Vincent (Ani) and Max (Meta). Peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Highbourne Longterm Lifecare Centre in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Jack. Loving mother of Tim and his wife Sonya. Grandma to Craig, Pamela, Kelly-Ann, and proud great-grandma to twins Carson and Claire. Clarice will be missed by all her family and friends.
