Annie Smith (nee Ross)
Annie passed away on March 19th, 2006 after a long battle with cancer, wife of the late Peter Smith will be dearly missed by her children George, Peter, Robert, Margaret, Mary, Michael and her 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Annie is survived by her sisters Sophia and Margaret. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Pine Hills cemetery.

Jozef Herz
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Jozef Herz suddenly on March 16, 2006. Loving husband of Kvetuse Kafka, dear father of Andrea Herz and stepfather to Iva Kirby and Michelle Binswanger, son of Frantisek and Alzbeta Herz, brother to Fero and Milos Herz and uncle to their children. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday March 23, 2006 from 6 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation. Reception to follow at The Musket located on 40 Advance Rd, Etobicoke.

Karolina Borkowski (Bork)
In her 81st year after fighting a courageous battle, her physical heart weakened, but her spiritual heart strengthened on Thursday, March 23, 2006. She was visited by many family and friends in the CCU at Trillium Health Centre Mississauga. Born in Poland on October 30, 1925. Karolina was brought to Canada with 100 young women sponsored by Federal minister Dion. She met her husband Kazimerz at the Polish Social Club and they were married for 50 lovely and lively years. She was a family person, and sponsored her family to Canada to develop hope for future family generations. She led an active life in business and community; she was especially proud of Brantford Rental, which she ran for 25 years, until she retired at the age of 75. She also enjoyed outdoor life and was proud that she climbed Gros Morne Mountain in Newfoundland at age 65. Karolina loved cats and dogs and was a supporter of the SPCA in Brantford. Predeceased by her husband Kazimierz. She is survived by her daughter Irene, son Richard and grandsons David and Ryan. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the CCU at Trillium Health Centre Mississauga. Thank you to family and friends which were pillars of strength and loved Karolina. She will be deeply missed and will always be our Queen. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home (3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. between Islington and Kipling Aves., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 7 to 9 pm. Prayers Monday at 8:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church (4260 Cawthra Road) on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 10:00 am. Interment Park Lawn cemetery. The family would appreciate having donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, CCU at Trillium Health Centre or trees planted in memory of Karolina.

John Colley
(Retired Captain Etobicoke and New Toronto Fire Department, W.W. II R.A.F. Veteran) At Lakeshore Lodge on Monday, March 27, 2006 John Colley, dearly beloved husband of Margaret and loving father of Stephen and his wife Elizabeth and Bob and his wife Sue. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Brett, Deanna, Ryan, Tricia, Cole, Drew, Erin and Travis and by his great-grandchildren Brayden, Hunter, Evan and Kaelin. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service complete in the Chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Grace Helen Genova (nee Migilore)
Surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Vito Anthony. Missed dearly by daughter Catherine and her husband Carey Lee and son Victor Joseph and his wife Anna. Loving grandmother to Michael Anthony his wife Lori Ann, Marcia Grace Lee, and Victor Anthony, Michael Vincent Genova and great-grandmother to Sebastian Xavier Lee. Marjorie Siddall (nee Clarke)
passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, on March 29, 2006. Beloved wife of Gordon Dudley for 60 years. Loving mother to Gordon Arthur (Angela), Marten (Valrie), Mark (Delina), daughter in law Carolyn and predeceased by her son Leonard Michael. She will be sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Survived by her sister Mary Saunders of England. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Josephine Vrban
passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on March 29, 2006 at the age of 91. She will be sadly missed by her sister Anna Sebanc, niece Ann Mervar, great nephews Greg and Danny and great niece Lilli. A special thank you to the staff at Dom Lipa for all their care. John Hamilton Fox
Born January 8th 1925 in Toronto, and died there March 30th 2006 peacefully at St.Joseph's Hospital, predeceased by his parents John Hamilton Fox and Alice Arnott Fox (nee White) and his sister Margaret Davidson; and survived by his wife, Ella, sons Michael and his wife Susan, Rick and his fiancee Michele Irion, Kevin and his wife Sarah, Steven and his wife Jan and his daughter Lisa; as well as his grandchildren Rebecca, Ben, Ella, Piers, Jack, Edward, and Joe; his step-grandchildren Jennifer, Julian and Chera Francoeur; and his siblings William and Joseph Fox and Lucinda Kretchman. When the war broke out young "Jack" lied about his age to join the Canadian Navy at age 17, served on the HMCS Ontario and HMCS Matane, earning a Mentioned In Dispatches citation. His career in radio took him from CFJB in Brampton to the Radio Sales Bureau of Canada in Toronto and finally to CKNW in New Westminster BC, thereby inspiring a love affair with the natural beauty of a place where "you only get snow where you want it, on Christmas Cards and mountain tops." John was a committed member of LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL, serving as President of clubs in Brampton and New Westminster, where he established many close friendships which, along with those forged during the war with his comrades-in-arms, flourished through the exchange of letters and emails until the last days of his life. But John's greatest passion, as anyone who knew him can attest, was always his family. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to all the wonderful professionals who attended to John in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Joe's. He could not have been better cared for. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Joan Patricia Durst (nee Ford)
After a lengthy illness, on March 5, 2005 at the Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Carl for 57 years. Loving mother to Michael (Gail), Gregory (Sandra), Paul (Wanda), Peter (Janie) and Camilla (Peter Hawrylak). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Lisa (Mike Camara), Heather (Rob Bryce), Jennifer, Justin, Christopher, Adam, Sarah, Andrew, Mark and great-grandchildren Ryan and Marisa. Dear brother of Slava and her husband Rudy and family, brother in law Steve and family, sister Danica and family. Anton is predeceased by his sister Marija and his brother in law Stankc.
