Ida Mary Drover
On Sunday, January 16, 2005 in her 72nd year, beloved wife of the late William Godfrey Drover. Dear mother to Robin Smith (Kenzie) and Rhonda Beirnes (Murray), all of Listowel, Kevin (Anne) of Enderby, B.C., Kelly Firstbrook (Don) of Oakville, and Kent (Betty) of Fruitvale, B.C. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service Thursday at 11 a.m. from St. Margaret's Anglican Church, 156 Sixth St., followed by cremation. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

George Kozub
On Saturday, January 29, 2005 in his 88th year George Kozub passed away. He is survived by his sister Ann. Predeceased by his sisters Mary, Dora, Kay and brothers Steve and Nick. George will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family extends a special thanks to Meadowcroft Place Retirement Home and Wat Line Renal Clinic. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 9 t 11am. A Service will follow in the Chapel at 11 am. Cremation. Donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.

Shirley Brownlee (Skipper)
Suddenly on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Chris Skipper and survived by their children, Starr (Gordon), Chris (Nancy) and Richard and beloved wife of the late Lenis Brownlee. She will be lovingly remembered by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Dorothy Jones (Fred) and predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 11 am. Interment Sanctuary Park cemetery.

Bessie Katheleen Goddard (Nee Baker)
passed away at Hillcrest Village, Midland, on Monday, June 16, 2008. Bessie Goddard, of Midland, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Cecil Leonard Goddard. Dear mother of Roger (Lynne) Goddard and William “Bill” (Karen) Goddard. Cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Goddard. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. A private Celebration of Life will take place. Interment of cremated remains to take place at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Etobicoke, at a later date. If desired, in memoriam donations to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 3100 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario 3 2H4, would be appreciated by the family. Patricia Bridget Pyman (Nee Edgar)
passed away at the Huronia District Hospital. Midland, on Monday, June 16th, 2008. Patricia Pyman, of Midland, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Dear mother of Tom (Mary) Pyman, Ray (Carmen) Pyman, Mary Ruth (Gerry) McDougall, Patricia Pyman, Maureen (Dan) Baldock and Vincent Pyman. Patricia will be missed by her 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Veronica Burgess and Margaret (Bill) McConkey. Predeceased by her brother Clair; and by her sister Caroline. The family will receive friends at the Carson Funeral Home, 290 First Street, Midland, on Thursday, June 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Parish Prayers will be held in the evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, 589 Hugel Avenue, Midland, on Friday, June 20th at 10 o’clock. Cremation to follow. If desired, in memoriam donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Loretta Marie Potter (Nee Butineau)
passed away peacefully on Saturday June 14, 2008 at the Huronia District Hospital Midland, in her 75th year. Loretta Potter, of Midland, beloved wife of the late Capt. George Potter; loving father of Sharon (Ian) Sheriff of Midland, Samuel (Donna) of Penetanguishene, Ron (Laurie) of Calgary, Gary (Milly) of Penetanguishene, Donna (Robert Varley) of Midland, and George Jr. (Jennifer Parry) of Midland. Dear grandmother of Dawn, Jeremy, Ashley, Cassandra, Chantel, Justin, Johnathan, Lawrence, Sarah, Joseph and 6 great grandchildren. Survived by brothers and sisters Edward, Bernadette, Janette, Marianne, Elizabeth-Ann, Rosemary, Madeline, Jack, Paul, Joan, Kenneth; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Delianne Butineau; brothers Wallace and Wilfred, and sister Barbara. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. Parish Prayers will be said in the chapel on Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret’s Church on Thursday June 19, 2008 at 2 o’clock. Memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society if desired would be appreciated by the family.

Jessie Margaret Locke
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Saturday June 14, 2008 in her 71st year. Jessie, loving partner of Joseph (Ed) Auger, will be sadly missed by her children Annie, Donna, Arthur, Peggy, Woodrow, Susan, Loretta, Sandy, Caroline, and Norma, by her grandchildren Terry-Lynn, Michael, Misti, Travis-Tyler, Joseph, Daniel, and Michael, by her great grandchildren Brady and Jamie, by her brothers George and Gerald, and by her sisters Shirley, Ruby, Ivy, and Marge. Patricia "Pat" Ellen Hill
Passed peacefully at home on Saturday June 14, 2008 in her 72nd year. Patricia, loving wife of Glen, will be sadly missed by her children Kathy (Don) McIsaac of Uptergrove, David (Sabrina) Hill of Sebright, and Donna (Don) MacKinnon of Nanaimo BC, by her grandchildren Amanda, Matt, Tom, Kelsey, Jessie, Mariah, and Dalton, by her sister Brenda Wiles, and by many nieces and nephews. Patricia was a proud lifetime member of the UCW and will be missed by her church community. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Joseph Hrizo
passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Huronia District Hospital, Midland on Saturday June 14, 2008 in his 65th year. Joseph Hrizo, of Midland, beloved husband of Patricia Ann Keating. Loving father of Leanne and her husband Chris Moreau of Penetanguishene, and Vincent and his wife Tamara of Midland. Dear poppa of Eric, Sierra, and Lexi. Joseph is survived by his sister Helen and nephew Brian. Joseph was a member of the Midland Memory Lanes Cruisers. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM. Prayers will be said in the chapel on Wednesday evening at 7:45 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, Midland on Thursday June 19, 2008 at 10 o’clock. passed away at the Beechwood Private Hospital, Penetanguishene, on Sunday, June 8th, 2008. Jean Misuck, in her 87th year. Loving sister of Mary Boudreau, Stella Carruthers and Anne Pasinek. Jean is predeceased by her brothers William and Mike. Edward "Teddy Bear" Henderson
passed away at his residence with his family and friends by his side, on Sunday, June 8, 2008. Teddy Bear Henderson, of Port McNicoll, in his 56th year. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Dwinnell). Loving and devoted father of Cory, Christine (John) and Jason. Stepfather of Michael, Missy, Matthew, Tracey (Chum), Tina (Kevin) and Christopher. Cherished grandfather; of Alex, Brooke, Mackenzie, Jessy, Jason Jr., Jacob, Justin, Trisha, Crystal, Shanise, Tina (T.J.), Sage and Jake and great grandfather of; Alhya and Owen. Will be missed by his brothers; Rick (Mary), Danny (Donna), Robbie (Jane), Jamie, Billy (Roxanne) and by his sisters; Sandra (Fred), Penny (Walter), Shelly (Andrew), Sherry (Mike), Susan (Danny), Cheryl (Allen) and Dawn (Tom). Teddy is predeceased by his parents; Bill and Joyce Henderson, brother; Howard, sisters; Judith and Nancy and by his daughter in law Lisa. Louis "Phil" Phillippe Poirier
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Thursday June 5, 2008 in his 89th year. Phil, predeceased by his wife Marie, will be sadly missed by his children Phyllis Stora, John (Judy) Poirier, Michael Poirier, and Paul Poirier. Phil’s memory will be cherished by his grandchildren Bryant, Brad, Evan, and Jordan, and by his great grandchildren Eden and Sydney. Phil, retired railway conductor of 37 years with CNR and VIA rail, was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Knights of Columbus, and was proud member of the community of Washago and a strong local volunteer. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi in Washago. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Veterans Fund and will be accepted by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Evelyn Patterson (Nee Doucette)
passed away at the Huronia District Hospital, Midland, on Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
Evelyn Patterson, of Port McNicoll, in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late George Patterson. Loving mother of David (Judy Nussey-Patterson), Roderick and Penny. Cherished grandmother of Taylor and Darrell. Dear sister of Frances Shephard, Stanley (Sue) Doucette and Mary (David) MacDonald. Evelyn will be missed by her nieces, nephews, her many good friends and especially Rosemary Yates. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Philomene Doucette, her brother Keir and by her sister Shirley Bailey.
